I don’t have one of my own. I have done sites for friends and charitable organizations.
    * I tried to stick as close to HTML5 as I could.
    * I made sure the org’s contact info was easy to find and use.
    * I prefer sites that come up fast, and I avoided things that take a long time to download on the home page.
    * I tried them out with several different browsers before launch.
    * I tried them out with several different browsers again after launch. — This revealed some unwelcome surprises sometimes. It paid off.

roydal, are you saying you are a web developer? it mainly comes down to the hosting for a fast site…

Be careful my friend … these sort of questions may find you getting short thrift.

I will forgive you asking personal info this time but don’t ask anyone here again.

There are ways of doing these things but this is not one of them.

    Reason?

We are regularly attacked on this site. You could be that person … hacker …. why give you another target?

Ask questions, ask for help …. that’s what we do.

    Just don’t ask personal stuff.

No, just a self taught amateur who once in a while helps out deserving others, namely close friends and charitable organizations to which I belong or strongly support.

it mainly comes down to the hosting for a fast site…

It is for me. I have a short attention span, and I strongly dislike trying to click on something and have it jump out from under my cursor thus sending me somewhere else.
    Here are two examples:
BBC News downloads in an eye-blink.
TMZ takes so long that I have time to amble to the kitchen, fill my coffee cup, and amble back — only to find it is still downloading. The ESC key is my friend on some sites. Most sites with long download times, I just bail out of. Ditto sites with ads that cover the page. I wasn’t trying to be annoyed. I just wanted to visit.

yes apparently if a site takes longer than 4 seconds most people bounce! that how impatient we have become in this modern world!

yeah i know mate, that’s what got my interest here, is the amazing graphics and the professional work that’s gone into this site, that’s why i was hoping to network and chat with some of the “web gurus” to get some help on my site 🙂

funny you should mention the word “AWESOME” as that’s the main word in the name of my site… 🙂

That’s not true at all. It’s not the fastest loading but t’s also not the point. We give them a 5MB animation and mini-trailer – and then another one with our logo splash. Our bounce rate is in the 20s!!! +70% of people stay and the average page views per visitor is 12 ….. and the average visitors spends 19.5 minutes on the site. Unheard of.

“A voice for men” has a 55% bounce rate….. 2 page views ….. and 5 minutes spent on the site.
“Business insider has a 65% bounce rate (terrible)….. 2 page views ….. and 3 minutes per visit
“Return of Kings” has a 52% bounce rate (terrible)….. 2 page views ….. and 3 minutes per visit
“Jezebel” has a 55% bounce rate (terrible)….. 3 page views ….. and 4 minutes per visit

You see the point. We are KWAH — LI – TEEE.

It also flies if you’re logged out. Our site is served up to guests faster than they can download it. Cached pages for guests is 0.02 seconds or even less. Try it! Log out and click around the top menu.

    4. Working on 3d mapping and drone filming site.

I’m always a day late and technology short! @ Live Again, do you know how much time I had to spend in the simulator just so I could get an (rc) rotary wing of the ground without slicing my head off? And now they come out with gyro stabilized pussy sticks! I had a f~~~ing niche and it was stolen before I could attach the f~~~ing camera! I had one bird go sideways into the trees as I was pulling the collector and trying to spin the nose around into the “WIND”. Then once you crash them it’s total headf~~~ery trying to re balance the rotor! The wobbling piece of s~~~ never flew right again!
I have a SeaMaster Amphibian (actually 3 of them) but this one has a camera out front in the nose, the prop is on a pod above and forward of CG.

I had websites detailing the Massachusetts condemned family campground that unwittingly formed around my property as part of my property and isolated my home within, it’s 280 acres of political, judicial, and executive destruction, a forest now. I closed my website to move on in spite of the negative conditions.
The republic died here, and I simply dwell as a natural in such a hostile world….

Well … without rubbing it in:

    http://www.dji.com

I’m using Inspire 1pro & Phantom 3 for aero and mapping plus the Osmo for interior maps.

The Inspire & Osmo have virtually the same camera & gimbals. This means I can fly the Inspire for swoop in shots towards entrance …. hover at door … get the Osmo …. walk through … then out the back …. hover Inspire for swoop out shot.

    All seamless 3d mapped.

I’ve got 15 hours on R22 and 2 hourse on R44. That was enough rotor for me. You can’t even have lunch while flying …. very uncivilised ?

As for rc …. that’s for the old guys ?

I remember old school coding in a text file with HTML and Javascript before Dreamweaver came out.

These days are much better with Joomla and WordPress. It’s much easier to get a professional looking website up and running.

I don’t have any websites these days.

Hey ILA, are you saying that you “program” it to do a 3-D fly through on the CPU like autopilot? Navigating only by it’s on-board computer linked to its guiding systems? (gyro, inertia, accelerometer? or GPS? That kind of s~~~ amazes me! When you think about it you’re flying a miniature color television studio with more navigating power than the Saturn 7 moon shot! Plus HD to boot! and only one millionth the size and weight! and only one billionth the energy expenditure!
I could see air vectors established for everything from Pizza Hut, to Home Depot delivering you a bag of nails! It’ll look like something from the movie, “Back to the Future”! I can’t wait! Around here the hicks will use them a clay target skeets!
I agree, rotary is like a seal on a ball vs. cruising in a roadster.

P.S. be careful with that airbus, the rudder sticks, jams, and like in NY, just falls off, use the ailerons and engines instead…..
