Was browsing the internet today when I heard that a group called “Return of Kings” is meeting in Sydney, Australia. I haven’t heard a lot about them and a search of their identity only leads me to progressive news sites. Given their views on rape, they seem like a bunch of assholes who are going to give the rest of us as men a bad name, their views sound like they’ve been pulled from the middle east. They call themselves “Neomasculinists”. This frightens me, because it means they’re going to load the feminist guns for them, and the reasonable men (Who no doubt would be the majority) will be caught as collateral. So who the f~~~ are they? And, if the progressives are actually telling the truth this time, should we not eliminate them for the sake of saving ourselves from suffering to another SJW campaign?

There is a blog by that same title. I agree with some of those bloggers and disagree with others. If it is the same group, then those neomasculinists will outnumber the hard core men going their own ways.

In short, your guess about the nature of this gathering is correct.

Edit: I have not done an in depth study of who neomasculinists are and what neomasculinity is. My sense of it all is that it’s a philosophical refuge for PUAs who are tired of the pickup bar scene and want to find a nice NAWALT and settle down. And good luck to them.

I’ve never quite figured out what the end game is for PUA types… it seems like a big p~~~ing contest to me so if someone knows what meaningful thing they’re after at the end of the day, I’m listening… but I wouldn’t say their values are in line with MGTOW.

ROK started as a PUA site and it still is to some extent. Despite it’s PUA focus, the ROK forum has a lot of self improvement advice and materials aimed towards men.

The founder, Roosh, wrote and sold several guides which supposedly help men get sex or more sex. He has a personal blog which he posts PUA and self improvement information on. He also has the ROK blog/forum you read about. That site has several admins/mods, accepts posts from other writers, and generally focuses on social and cultural commentary and critique.

Lately, Roosh has distanced himself from his earlier PUA focus and is now writing about something he calls “neo-masculinity”. To be fair, Roosh’s PUA material always stressed a need for self improvement unlike many other PUA gurus who focused on tricks and techniques. Stretching an analogy here, if the PUA community was all about weight loss, Roosh was emphasizing diet and exercise while most other PUAs claimed all you needed was a fad diet or pill.

Nearly all PUA writers, bloggers, and practitioners eventually find their pussy begging/hunting “lifestyle” sterile and unfulfilling after a few years. Roosh is wisely re-branding himself for future sales.

You can learn quite a bit at the ROK forum, especially in the fitness, finances, employment, and similar sections. The PUA and social sections need to be approached skeptically however.

Well i think self improvement is a good thing.

Some PUAs I can get along with others not so much. Most of them are purple pill, they realize women are treated specially, and that the game is rigged, but they still go after them. So at least they’re aware. For the most part, they think the apex of masculinity is chasing women and getting more notches on the belt.

Hey don’t get me wrong, I used to think that back when I was 14, but I grew out of it. If a dog thinks the apex of being a dog is chasing its own tale, then let the dog chase all it wants. I don’t do such foolish things, and if the dog wants to bark and call me stupid for not following along and says I’m not a real dog, then too bad. I don’t really give a f~~~.

Self improvement is a good thing and, as you note, it should be a goal in and of itself. You should improve because you’re worthy of improvement. You shouldn’t improve simply to score more pussy.

Putting it another way, self improvement is the end and not just a means towards an end.

Over the years I noticed what Silverstone mentioned; that most PUAs eventually “grow” or ‘mature” out of the pick-up game. They become bored or dissatisfied focusing their lives on nothing but pussy begging and want something more substantial. Most simply fade away while a few others like Roosh attempt to reinvent themselves.

Whatever ROK has been in the past and whatever it may become in the future, there is quite a bit to learn at that forum.

UPDATE: RoK have been chased out of Sydney by protesters. However, they’re still gathering at other capital cities around Australia, I’m kind of curious as to what they will do, so I’m going to follow their movements. I’m sure they’ll be shut down, though, as many of their opposition want it that way. Women are frightened to go to the cities that RoK are meeting, and I’m yet to make these point that these guys aren’t planning an actual attack. I do have a question though, if they want to legally rape, why not stick em in the middle east? They can do it over there cos the Feminists don’t really give a s~~~

PUA’s. They barely registersed on my Radar until Roosh V was interveiwed by Wedgie Yates. This weekend has been a s~~~ storm for them when they organised global meet ups and there was a smear campaign in the media over it which caused cancellations of the meet ups.

They have dissed MGTOW in the past so opinion is divided here over Roosh and Neo Masculinity. The Red Pill subReddid have also spoken out over him for trying to capitalise the Red Pill whereas they’re more focused on sharing knowledge for personal betterment rather than finaincial gain.

Greetings to all. I have had some personal experience with ROK. I’ve written some articles for them too. ROK seems to appeal to young Turks. Say anything about your religious or faith based views, or share any personal Intel about yourself, and it’s open season for straw man attacks. The forum discourse is uncivil, and the site is rather Anti-Semitic. Readers seem to range from the highly educated and genteel, to half-wits, wingnuts, and jackals. Some of the writers appear to be traditionalists, and have a faith tradition or faith base, but many are libertines to downright reprobates. One real inconsistency I see with ROK is that many of the writers and readers frequently opine about the dystopia of modern western women (true), and the need to marry up with virgins then procreate (true), but then in the same sentence will advocate sleeping with promiscuous club girls. I can’t wrap my 60-year-old head around that one! I think ROK is like an Alt-right fraternity house. I think it features some good articles, but the editor really needs to reel in and/or block the miscreants.
