Where would you live, and why?

I prefer smaller population areas, closer to nature.
I’ll stay in rural Alberta though.
I’ve been around at least 1/2 the world in my lifetime, and between the people and politics I can do without a majority of either. I’m looking for 10+ acres with a defensible perimeter, water source, lots of trees, and very few people nearby.

I like where I live in my western Chicago suburb. I just wish I could live on the west side, where there are multi-million dollar mansions there.

As far as visiting goes, I’d like to visit Japan, because I like the food, culture, environment, history, Anime, Resident Evil (Biohazard there).

I’m the same way. I hate cluttered and crowded rooms. Right after my divorce when I bought my new house, I always kept one small room completely empty. I would walk in there and just enjoy the peace and serenity. Then after casually pacing around I’d stop to look out the big window and sometimes there’d be deer just outside in my yard.

Then my x threatened to sell my drum set because she didn’t want to store it in her basement anymore. I left it there for my son, but she didn’t give a s~~~ what he wanted so now my small empty room has this huge 9 piece double bass drum set in it.

I’ve never been anywhere so I don’t know if any other place would be any better than where I live now. I was born and raised less than 50 miles from where I live now. As far as country and state, I’m perfectly happy living here in the U.S.A. where I’ve always lived. The only change I’d like to make is to move further from civilization and people. I f~~~ing can’t stand living near people.
