I’ve had many married people both male and female tell me to never get married. I’m pushing 50 and have never been married. I figure they know more than I do about it than I do so I’ll happily heed their advice.

Being the the objective type, I’d say about 20% of the time marriage does deliver on the theoretical benefits from my observations of many married couples over the years. As an experienced investor, I’d say the risk to reward ratio is not worth making the investment.

Careful, the cow and the milk analogy no longer work to explain the marriage problem. In agriculture, the cow doesn’t quit milking as soon as you purchase her. She doesn’t continue to eat after she quits milking. The cow cannot take your barn and farm from you. The cow cannot turn you into the livestock. Once the cow exhausts her value, you can get rid of her with a simple phone call.

Let’s be careful to not give off the impression that it’s in any way similar. Avoid the milk boys.

I had 4 to 5 white dudes in a small town telling me not to get married. I heard the horror stories, but one I really remember was this guy where his wife refuse to have sex with him and he would buy porn mags to rub it out but she would find them and throw them out.
The worst part was she was busting his b~~~~. All the wives was busting their husband b~~~~. I thought it must be a cultural thing since my step mom wasn’t doing that to my father.
