When I was in the 6th grade…

My brothers and sisters and I would have to fish off of the pier almost every weekend so we could have some protein….whatever fish we caught…no matter what kind…we gutted and cleaned them and fried them. This was my life in a broken household…with a Mom who didn’t want to be a mom…so we banded together to take care of each other…cooked and cleaned and foraged…because Mom wasn’t going to if she could help it. Sometimes the refrigerator had a lock on it…I kid you not.

Anyway….at the pier was a very old couple in their 70’s…listening to Big Band Swing Era Jazz…both the husband and wife looked like they hated each other….both were chain smokers…the old lady wasn’t very friendly to us kids….(and that’s an understatement)…..

At the time I didn’t understand why they were so unhappy….many years later I get it…..the guy was unhappy because he was sold a bill of goods and was stuck with her…she was unhappy because her husband was neither Chad nor was he Daddy Warbucks…..no doubt she felt “cheated” out of her deserved meal ticket….

The car they drove was old and really beat up…..

This was way back in 73….so they must have lived through the roaring 20’s and the Great Depression….

My grandparents (both sides) stayed married but slept in separate bedrooms….
So for any of you younger guys out there…who are thinking about Blue Pill life…and regular sex and meals….forget it……not going to happen buddy….
