Today I was asked my opinion on whether we should ban a couple of clients/patrons from the facility I work at. I told management I would write them a report on “my take”. They were ok with it. I wrote a 3 page report on what I knew about the individuals in question and what my dealing with them have been for the past decade. I have removed these two people from the facility 11 times in the past 10 years. They spend a lot of money and make a lot of donations to the establishment where I feel that it’s worth putting up with them due what they have contributed/donated and the money they have spent. It’s a high number. I’ve said this before but due to the position I hold and the free time I have(I work nights and weekends) I have dirt on everybody and know more about the place than anybody. I better. I personally don’t feel that these individuals should be banned. Management might have thought otherwise but after reading my report I’m pretty sure they have changed their mind.

Right now I am getting emails from management asking me why this wasn’t brought to their attention. All 3 of them also said something along the lines of “we underestimated you”. I will choose my words carefully when I decide to answer their emails. I’m off until NEXT Monday. I keep management on a “need to know” basis. THEY DON’T NEED TO KNOW!! Not the whole story anyway. I’m just giving them about 1% of what I know. All I’m trying to do is keep these individuals from being banned. They have always left when I have told them to leave without incident. The bottom line is this- THEY SPEND A LOT OF F~~~IN MONEY!!!

Sounds to me like you know what you are doing.

Togo, if I give too much info I’m the one that gets banned. Management consists of two c~~~s and one mangina with the mangina doing most of the work of course. I can tell they are a little freaked out with what I told them and that was just 1%. I have found that ghosting and withholding information from management has secured my job. I would give more information if those two c~~~s weren’t in charge. I just can’t. I wish I had a nickel for every time someone said they “underestimated” me. I would be retired. The only time I had total respect was when I was a professional athlete. Now I’m just pondering what to tell them. It’s almost amusing. ALMOST.

I believe you are probably handling this just fine.

    Two management c~~~s? Take care.

‘Underestimate’ could mean ‘are now seen as a threat’ and ‘Why wasn’t this brought to out attention sooner?’ sounds suspiciously like there’s some blame coming your way.

As a contract employee management doesn’t exactly know what my job is. The only reason why they asked me about these two individuals is because they figured I had dealt with them before. They just don’t realize how often and don’t really know who these two people are. I’m guessing one of the employees had a run-in with these patrons/clients and got all bent out of shape. I will talk to management next Monday. They don’t realize I know their schedule. I choose next Monday because I know it’s only going to be the MANgina on duty. I haven’t decided at this point if I’m going to email any of them knowing I can have limited contact with just the manjina. Things like this are never a problem until the wrong person finds out about it. Hopefully they will forget about this “problem” if enough time passes. The society we live in today people get all up in arms over basically nothing. Damn.

Play your cards close to your vest. You go to know when to hold them.
