Hey hey. New MGTOW officially, but been MGTOW all my life. Joined MGTOW-USA group on Facebook a week ago or so. I got into a discussion thread over there about whether right-wing politics (and/or Christianity) belongs in MGTOW. I’m gonna shoot straight here: It was the dumbest conversation I had all week. Really disappointed in the level of banter in some of those threads. Seems to be a couple guys who get all betsy-wetsy if someone mentions God or bible principles connected to their MGTOW path. That is moronic. The bible talks about the bitches we hate better than we do all day long, and warns us about ’em, and calls them in really strong language what they are. It don’t get no more MGTOW than bible. Paul said if you ain’t married, DON”T GET MARRIED.

Look, fellas, if that’s gonna be the level of discourse, and if a couple discontents are gonna decide what YOUR OWN WAY can or can’t be, what are we doing here ? We should be back arguing with real women.

Religion and religious people are OK by me. I am agnostic and have been for awhile now and so I tend to gel with both religious and atheist people just fine. I personally do not see a problem with being a MGTOW and being religious. If it makes you happy or gives you a sense of comfort that you need then by all means do it.  This world is filled with so much s~~~ I will not work in any fashion to deny you your God. All I ask is that you extend me the same courtesy and not push your beliefs on me.

As for religion being connected to MGTOW you said it well already. MGTOW stands for men going their own way. You choose that path that you believe is the best path to going your own way. If this path includes God then I say cool. If this path is without God I say cool. If this path includes hurting people I say not cool. Not to radical point of view but simple enough I think.

The only reason I would think that people have a problem mixing MGTOW and God is that God is kinda like a woman. Telling you what to think and how to act and where to spend your money. Any of the pros for God even sound like some of the reasons that woman would make for marriage, it brings you love, comfort, stability, soundness of mind, peace, and companionship. So I can see why some people would not like the 2 mixing and even make the argument that you are just replacing woman with God and you are not truly going your own way IE priests, monks, shamans, any holy man that is not able to be married really.

I would counter this by saying since you are not directly speaking to God and getting his direct input but, more using his teachings to guide your decisions to stay on his preferred path, that God is an abstract or ideal that you choose to be more like and not a slave to. This is different from the relationship you would have with a woman who will force and coerce your path into what is convenient for her regardless of what you want.

So while the rewards and goals between a woman and God are similar the way you move along the path is the key difference and should be taken into consideration.

I am definitely a hardcore christian and a MGTOW, the bible completely agrees with MGTOW and has more MGTOW in the book than any other book Ive ever read. It even has a really good story on false rape accusations and imprisonment when Joseph got locked up over the lying whore that said he raped her in Genesis chapter 39. Also the story of samson and deliliah when another lying whore ruined a mans life and had him thrown into prison, and yes paul called it a blessing to be a MGTOW and strongly discouraged marriage. As for solomon the wisest man to ever live….heres what he had to say in proverbs 21:19 “It is better to be living in a waste land, than with a bitter-tongued and angry woman.”….so for all you athiests, I dont care what you believe but even you would have to admit that the oldest book on the face of the earth tried repeatedly to warn men about women….not to mention the fall of man kind was over a man that didnt take control over his wife and listened to what she had to say when she offered him the forbidden fruit!

new member here.  saw coolside’s post and thought i’d jump in.  i am also a fully-surrendered brother of JC.  you raised some great examples.  even Jesus himself embraced MGTOW during his time here on earth.  his real, pure bride is the body of all believers.  he wasted no time on any brutally flawed female in this world

Its pretty mainstream now days to bag the big three religions of the world. I am religious, but I don’t expose my beliefs on other people unless they ask (like this post).

The thing I can’t stand about people that love to hate on religious people is how hypercritical they can be. Like, your an idiot if your practice Muslim, Christian/Judaism but your ok if your religion is obscure or taboo. If your a into karma and Buddhism your just trying to better yourself. If you practice ooga-booga from the extinct people of x obscure place your open minded. If you are into Satanism your the poor oppressed eccentric, and should be applauded.

Most of the time though, its people that have a chip on there shoulder for whatever reason (some people legit felt oppressed by parents forcing their religion on them).

The people like Bill Nigh are just as annoying to me as the televangelist he’s arguing with. Its such a stupid point to argue, its metaphysics on a personal level. The argument will never have a resolution, its a waste of breath. People have been arguing (and war) about the metaphysical since the beginning of time and I don’t see that changing any time soon.

    ….however, lol,

Most mainstream religious sects have really been comfort molded (dr.schols style) to the old values and systems that most women take complete advantage of. Women want again all the perks of both genders. Take Christianity: No sex till marriage (except for the stud she cheats with while she dates the good guy), You have to pay all the bills but she gets to quit her job (and do zero household work), ect.

That’s my only problem certain religions, people like to wear them like a cloak to hide behind. They use the rules of the religion as leverage for there own interests. Women and men do, but women are the worst offenders (every day normal people, not the nut case fanatics).

I was raised in the church but have since rejected the idea of a super-being who created the universe and cares whether I jerk off or not. Don’t get me wrong, I believe in some pretty weird s~~~ but that’s just a bit too much.

Anyway, my feeling is that faith is okay for a MGTOW, but being subservient to the church and a congregation and the values and objectives of that congregation (never heard of a church that advocated sex and was anti-marriage) is inconsistent with going your own way.

Read the various religious texts, pick and choose your own morals, believe in a grand architect or not as you desire, but if you let a preacher or a rabbi or a father tell you what is right and wrong for you, I can’t take you seriously when you say you’re going *your own* way.

    @docfender

That’s exactly how I approach my beliefs, salad bar that s~~~. Take what you need and makes sense for you. Use your own mind and heart to figure out what you need….but again, what works for me has no bearing on what works for others. Some people need a social group to feel at peace with themselves, and there is not a thing at all wrong with that.

Only thing I stress is, use your mind and don’t impose (or do, but don’t complain if there are consequences and confrontations because of that). If your religious/non-religious beliefs require you to puke it all intravenous style on the people your talking to then its more like an attempt at validating your beliefs rather then self healing and discovery.

As a MGTOW, I chose to go that way. God doesn’t have me on a leash. It was a choice. I can blow that off if I want to and go act the fool and that is also a choice. And I’ve done that, also.

I would be way more apt to share great principles like cool did because there are some just KILLER bible verses that make vapid women’s heads explode, but the problem is that there is always an element that can’t stand even the use of scripture like that, even when it is extremely helpful as a teaching and validation tool.

This. Whether you’re atheist, Christian, Jew, Hindu, Jedi (me) or whatever; we need to keep sight of our common enemy.

    Fuck this planet.

I was brought up as a Hindu and I still am and will be for the rest of my life, because I love being one. I went to a couple Catholic missionary schools and even though the first one, the elementary school was full of nuns most of whom were feminist and uber c~~~s, only a few were nice. My high school which was also a Catholic missionary school was a boys only school and had male priests most of whom were really nice. So I have developed quite an appreciation for Christianity, not the “God hates f~~s” “All heathens must be convertedWestboro Baptist Church part but the part about Jesus(who I think was an MGTOW at its finest) and what kind of a person he was, his life and his work to spread the message of love regardless of who the person was and I’ve always kept Christmas(kept as in the Dickens sort of way).

Buddhism is by far an extension of Hinduism so I like it too and have similar feeling for Judaism and other beliefs including Atheism and yes, modern day Atheism has become exactly as rigid as any other intolerant religion. Islam is the only religion I don’t quite get even though I have nothing against educated and tolerant Muslims, its those radical ones who I think are causing all the problems, just like feminists.

Guess I’m a lot like the guy from The Life of Pi, I believe in everything that is good. I like to keep an open mind so I somewhat adhere to the Assassin’s Creed maxim “Nothing is true; everything is permitted“.

I think I’m also a Jedi since only a Sith deals in absolutes but I just so love the red lightsaber that the Sith weild which is way cooler than those White, Green, Purple ones of the Jedi, so I could also be Sith. Now only if there was a Black or a Deep Blue lightsaber(my fav colours) 😀

I am also an Atheist at times and I curse God for making most women such evil feminist c~~~s. Somewhat like this..

So there you have it. Makes sense right? 😀

I believe in Christ too.   I really don’t see how MGTOW has to clash with Christianity or any religion either.  I think a lot of people out there take the view that if you are “religious” you are doing it for comfort.  It has brought me little if any comfort to me.  I would not say it caused me any extreme suffering though either.   I believe simply because I believe.  Belief has nothing to do with pleasure or pain, it goes beyond either.  Their is nothing more or less to it.

However, it has given me the red pill in regards to women and human behavior.  The Torah, Bible, and Koran are quick to point out the nature of women.

Those who always seem to go after religion or always make sharp remarks against it seem to believe something about it just as much as its followers.  If a man is affected enough by something to hate it, or pretend to be indifferent to it, than that man is still subject to something and is in a sense a believer whether he considers himself or not.

Even the demons, according to the bible, believed in God.  There is no moral imperative to believe in God.  It doesn’t make you a good or bad person to believe in God. Plenty of men who commit evil acts believe in God.  Plenty of Men who commit good acts don’t believe in God.  And vice versa obviously.

To be angry with God is one thing, even David felt anger towards God yet was favored by him.  To blame him for something man did is another.  I see a lot of “Atheist/Agnostics”  who are contradictorily angry with something they do not believe exists because of the state of the world.  However we made the world the way it is.  It is our responsibility.

But getting to a point previously mentioned by others,  we all have a common enemy and that is injustice in this society.  It is the enemy we are focusing on, not eachother.

I really don’t see how MGTOW has to clash with Christianity or any religion either

It doesn’t. Religion is a belief system and MGTOW is very grounded in reality (a lifestyle choice). In fact, even Jesus was MGTOW oriented. So were many men in the bible.

Even the demons, according to the bible, believed in God. There is no moral imperative to believe in God. It doesn’t make you a good or bad person to believe in God. Plenty of men who commit evil acts believe in God.

Also true. After all, the bible says “thou shalt not kill”, but more men have ben killed in the name of God than for any other reason. We also have “in god we trust” written on the $1 bill…. which a MGHOW might stick in a stripper’s G-string. Doesn’t make him a bad person. The stripper feeds her child that way. (that was even funnier than I intended it to be)

And, while money can corrupt, we also starve without it. They say sex and money are evils, but sex and money are the two biggest driving forces in the world in which we live. They are necessary to perpetuate the human race and to feed, and sustain/support it (and yourself). Art , religion, music, beliefs ….. they are all ENHANCEMENTS to our existence. They are not ESSENTIAL to our existence.

MGTOW is not a belief system. It’s a tangible essential to our continued existence.
Any religious beliefs are an enhancement to your existence. The two couldn’t be any more different.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.
