I try to visit the forums on a daily basis and like many of you over time you begin to recognize some of the top contributors that make this place so great. For me personally, I’ve come to really enjoy the creativity in many of the member’s avatars and screen names.

These are some of my personal favorites:

    – Manfred
    – Bill and the Cloneasaurus
    – Ancient Wisdom
    – Gargamel
    – Aesthetic Monk
    – Jan Sobieski
    – Greg Honda
    – Puffin Stuff
    – Carnage
    – Old Heyoka
    – Narwhal
    – Awakened
    – Fraust for Science
    – One True Misfit
    – Kaido
    – Sky-O
    – Russky
    – Old Bill

My top pick though has to be Branched Off. He has a picture of a tree missing half of it’s leaves. Always like the symbolism of rebirth and the idea of leaves floating off to do their own thing.

My screen name “Quell” is two fold: For me MGTOW is about quelling or subduing my own natural tendencies to want to fix things around me. I need a daily reminder to simply walk away from s~~~ storms. My avatar is a picture of Saturn, the calm red glow is a reminder of a celestial body existing in perfect harmony while knowing its place in the universe.

What’s the backstory behind your avatar / screen name and what are some of your personal favorites?

A good list. I would like to add IRuleMe, Pistol Pete, C-Pig, and Market Watcher to the list as well.

My choice is Groucho Marx. He told it like it was, and knew women for who they were. A man of witty humor, and did not refrain from honesty for the sake of taboo.

    I am Uly.

Morlock are the creatures from The Time Machine novel and movie. They live underground and do all of the work. At times they surface and take the Eloi who are the pretty people who live on the surface. The Eloi are beautiful but quite dumb and careless.

To me it surmises society quite well. Everything has it’s price. The Eloi get to be beautiful and live on the surface but are preyed upon by the Morlocks who are ugly but a lot more intelligent and useful.

I think of myself as Morlock. The avatar pic is one of the creatures from the black and white movie version standing next to an Eloi.

I also wanted a simple one word username.

That is a good movie, Morlock. It has a lot of meaning behind it.

Thanks for the mention man 🙂

Quell is a cool handle. It comes across as wise and peaceful. I love the variety of the characters on this forum. Men are awesome.

My name is a Simpson’s reference obviously.

I chose it because the Clonasaurus is a metaphor for modern women. They are all clones of each other -AWALT

The dinosaur is symbolic of a modern woman/the gynocracy, and the boy running like hell is me.

    The answer, is no.

My younger daughter turns 18 on May 7, 2020. My name is reminder to everyone that we are all serving a sentence. This is the first date that I can petition the court to release me from the child support order. My last payment is theoretically some time in May or June…when she graduates high school. Some of us have much longer sentences to pay an underserving c~~~.

I like carnage because that character is totally insane, a murder psychopath fused with a agresive alien parasite.

I like insane characters, becouse they don’t lie, you see them coming, doesn’t matter they get you anyway.

There is no deception on their words or actions, they tell you they gonna get you, and you know you can’t trust them.

There is no point to anything for them, everything is a laugh, everything is fun and pointless at the same time.

I did it for the laughs – joker.
I did it because is pretty. – carnage.
Everything is a joke. – the comedian.

Ironic, they are evil, twisted, but there is no malice in them, they have a pure heart… pure evil, but pure non the less.

They are no rotten, they are what they wanna be, there is no remorse, there is no IF.

    I wanna be like that.

To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

I’ve always liked dragons, but the username DarkDragon is just too long and doesn’t look very good, so I took the Japanese word for Dragon (Ryu) instead.

I change my avatar on a regular basis, but this avatar is a picture of Tempest Shadow from the 2017 My Little Pony movie that I was forced to watch. The movie sucked, but I did like the character Tempest Shadow. I’ve always had an affinity for dark things, and she’s as dark as they come. So I found a picture of her online and decided to try it. She actually goes well with my username so I decided to keep her.

Can’t quite say I know anyone here well enough to pick “favorites”. Unfortunately don’t get to spend as much time here as I’d like. Way I see it is everyone has good reason for being here, in any case.

Picture is just grabbed off google. Basically I like cats, tigers in particular. Very independent creatures and not at all monogamous. Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes can transform into one. Taiga Saejima from the Yakuza series has a large tattoo of one on his back. A part in Twin Peaks season 3 features drunk, lonely Sarah Palmer watching an otherwise normal nature documentary with a tiger feasting on prey, made a bit disturbing. Just a few neat things about them off the top of my head.

My name is taken from the game Killer7. The main character, throughout most of the story, believes he is undoubtedly on the good side. However, he comes to a life changing realization by the end that almost seems to shatter the fabric of reality itself. Perhaps it is not the same exact subject matter, but the shift in perspective feels very much the same as being red pilled and then going MGTOW.

My thinking has been greatly influenced by the Stoic philosophers, so I chose as my avatar a bust of Roman Emperor and Stoic thinker/diarist Marcus Aurelius. Lucius Verus co-ruled Rome with him for a time, and Verus was also the name of Marcus’s adoptive father. Verus of course means Truth, or Real.

I changed my Avatar and Screen Name. This is a famous Art Work of Odin the Norse God. He is the Archetype for the Wizard Gandalf in Lord of the Rings.

Also Tesla was called a Wizard back in the day. Studying his Patents and Lectures makes me a Wizard’s Pupil. I still have so much to learn.

Hehe, it’s also a Joke because there was a PUA from Return of Kings on here, that mockingly called us (Virgin Losers) Wizards. I proudly wear the insult like a badge of Honor.

    Thanks for your words.

I have changed avatars frequently, due to my weakest point: looking for approval.

As I work on that, I am very careful at the reasons I do things. If I caught myself using the wrong reason, then I walk away.

So, you might just terminated the Manfred avatar, LOL.

Manfred was my childhood hero. The first comics I remember was some back and white WWI stories. The biplane and triplanes, the Imperial cross and the British RFC where my childhood icons.

Even today, my flight jacket has a RFC patch.

    Patch RFC

Manfred von Richtofen was actually a type of MGTOW, he was a popular hero, and yet did not have any dealings with women.

There is a recent movie, where he is portrayed as a childish kid with girlfriends – totally false.

The movie even had a nurse telling him how bad he was for doing his work. Changing him, making him a “New man”, more adult are responsible…

Remaking history, in the SJW way.

I was Conundrum at first with a Riddler question mark because I like him. Now I’m Duke with him in my avatar because I like him too. I’m simple enough and I don’t see myself changing anytime soon.

Thumbs up for your chosen avatar, Manfred! I’m a big fan of that bygone era too, and of the men who lived in it.

My avatar and screen name is a nod towards my favorite animal. One of my earliest and most powerful memories is watching Disney’s Robin Hood and thinking (as clearly as a five-year-old can) that the fox encapsulated everything that was cool and self-assured. Approaching life and all its problems with a detached, casual air of confidence, so much that one might even fail to see the serious philosophy behind it.

More generally, the red fox is curious, cautious, quick-thinking, and very independent… traits that any MGHOW would be wise to cultivate.

Oh, and the Silver part is because I’m 32 and my silver hair is already coming in strong… and I like it.

My younger daughter turns 18 on May 7, 2020. My name is reminder to everyone that we are all serving a sentence.

I have always wondered why you chose that date as your username. My only thought was that it had to do w/divorce or some type of alimony. Now this makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing that.

Darth Bane. The Sith that implemented the Rule of Two which Darth Revan thought up.
    Constantly improving, never stopping.

As for the name, a lone wolf. Not accurate in real life, but it feels that way as you search the truth while others do not and even recoil from it.
