I find it funny how women seem to believe that protests solve their problems. They never solve problems on their own, it only works if you a logical reason for your protest with a solution that actually resolves the issue.

I also find it interesting that we seem to have moved away from the idea that the police are there to find and arrest those that have committed crimes, to committing crimes regardless of the dangerous behavior of citizens. Citizens have zero responsibility in protecting themselves?

And agreed, requiring additional consent from law abiding citizens will not stop those who knowingly break the law. You could raise the punishment for crime, but that has the downside of removing the freedom of law abiding citizens. A better solution is clearly to not allow criminals to enter your country, and to protect yourself from crime as best you can.
