Oh, indeed.  CL personal ads are entertaining.   I especially love the ones, particularly in the “rant and raves” sections.   I came across this one post, one Friday evening, from a female who claimed that she was independent, attractive, and intelligent with her own place.  She expressed her frustration that no men would come up and talk to her at bars.  She even stated that she believed men were afraid to  speak to her.   I could not help but be compelled to chime in and explain to her that it’s not that men are afraid.   They are just aware of the potential consequences that can arise when getting involved with said female, i.e the divorce rate, false accusations, and the power that women have over the legal system and the family courts.  Therefore, a man may choose not to engage said female being that it doesn’t benefit him in the long run.   She then responded that I was correct that women do have the power and that men needed to deal with it.  She reiterated that men are afraid and just won’t talk to her.   I responded, saying I was not afraid and that I was talking to her (lol), though it was email exchanges.   I even told her that it’s a matter of choice as to whether or not I want to “deal” with a woman.   I continued onward by saying, “Being that I find this conversation most intriguing, would you like to continue ‘dealing’ with each other over the phone?” She replied with a “No!  I don’t know ZIPPO about you! You might be some kind of weirdo!”   I then replied with a smile, “You’ve proven my point!   All the best and God Bless.   P.S.  Who’s afraid now?”
