Porkies
National Lampoons everything! Love the Griswalds
I think the first movie I saw in theaters was George of the jungle, but I don’t recall much of it. Remember being more impressed with Tarzan. rugrats movie, too, I think. Maybe Aladdin? Pokemon came out eventually. Honestly I don’t think my family went out a lot back then, and we still don’t. We did see every Harry Potter movie after reading the books. In my mid teens my brother and I spent a summer watching James Bond stuff. Also watched Indiana Jones with my father. Actually, now I think of it, my father got some s~~~ from my mother for letting us watch Beavis and Butthead do America.
Still not much of a movie buff now, but I like to find older stuff or more obscure things, sometimes foreign or low budget or just artsy. Pervert was pretty funny in how awful it was, same with Toxic Avenger(4 was my favorite). Rubber I think actually has artistic merit. The Good, The Bad, and The Weird was neat. A Boy and his Dog was ok, Eraserhead was strange but good, Fire Walk With Me was a nice extension to Twin Peaks. Spirited Away was great. Leon the Professional kind of hard to watch again with strong feelings tied to an ex, but still good. I think my favorite for a while has been Paris, Texas.
"I have the fury of my own momentum." "With this ring I thee wed. Fire walk with me."

To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women

Anonymous8Bloodsport
I love the Kumite, good pick.
Anything directed by John Carpenter
They Live is a classic, John Carpenter does good work. The Thing is great as well.

The Wizard of Oz, Never-ending Story
Both good picks, although reading about the production of the Wizard of Oz is a bummer and soiled my memories of it, sadly.
I watched What About Bob more times than I can count.

Terminator 2 was another favorite.
Indian Jones The Temple of Doom
Aliens

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.
Romancing the Stone
F~~~ yes! Loved that movie as a kid and it still holds up well. always loved the plane scene where he chucks packages of weed on the fire! Always wanted to do that.

Escape from New York

We’re scatty pirate c~~~s!
We used to watch Wizard of Oz every year when I was growing up. Those flying monkeys gave me nightmares. As a kid, every Friday night my parents would let me stay up late to watch the late show on channel 7, WKBW. I grew up on Lon Cheney’s Wolfman and Frankenstein. Young Frankenstein is my favorite, though. I’ve always had a thing for Terry Garrr…”What knockers!” I saw the scariest ghost story I ever saw on that late show called The Haunting…all about Hill House. I’m not talking about the pansy assed remake they did with Liam Neeson. I mean the original black and white 1962 version with the creepy ending. I had nightmares into my 20’s over that one. The scariest ghost story ever. Other favorites include Catch 22, Wild in the Streets and Omegea Man with Charleton Heston. The Longest Day and Kelly’s Heroes are my favorite war movies…and let’s not forget Tora, Tora, Tora. But that one came out while I was in the Navy.
