I’ve known the solution to this answer, pretty much since i started living on my own.

But, it is simply put, the ONLY POSSIBLE LOGICAL solution.

    Let us begin.

TRIGGER WARNING, and please be open minded.

We do not know if god exists, or which god exists, but every god based religion offers an after life.
This afterlife is what comforts us and lets us live the way we want to; without fear of death.

We have essentially no proof that this afterlife exists, aside from the proofs of “god” of which may or may not be delusions.
The question here is, would you be willing to kill yourself to enter this afterlife? This utopia?
With absolutely no proof. Would you kill yourself to enter this theoretical utopia?

    F~~~ NO!

So, we can not assume that a god exists.

Now, let us say for some odd reason that god does exist, and there is an afterlife. How do we know which one is the right god? Since, every religion is screaming that you’ll go to dystopia ( hell ) if you do not believe in / worship that god / religion.

If God were so perfect, or better than man as depicted in pretty much every religion, would he really demand to be worshipped? Does it really make that much sense that God would be an ATTENTION WHORE?

Would god not just be happy enough with us trying to be a good person? or being a good person? Why does he want our worship? How does that make any sense?

SO! With this we can conclude that it does not matter if we worship god or not; so long as were a good person.

Now, What if there is no God? There is a pretty high chance that this god and afterlife does not exist.
What then? Who is our creator?
What is the meaning to life?
What is the purpose to life?

If there is no god, no after life.
What is the purpose of life?

    How should you live?

You have no solution but to answer this question, as you are not willing to kill yourself based on the possible delusions of other people.

How should you live if there is no meaning to life? if there is no purpose to it?

There is only 1 possible logical solution to the question.

This is how i live my life and this is how every man should live…

Hopefully someone can figure it out; it’s more one of those things that you have to figure out to really believe it.

    My Goal: To Leave Society.

The Answer is 42. I read it in Douglas Adams so it must be twwwuuuuuuuu!

I, for one, believe the Goddess will reward atheists with beer and hot female virgins in the afterlife, for rationally deciding not to believe in Her.

All the other male believers in God will face marriage to Andrew Dworkin.

Female believers will face reincarnation as males.

To believer or not to believe? That is the question.

    God exists (G)
    * Belief (B) ⇒ +∞ (infinite gain)
    * Disbelief (¬B) ⇒ −∞ (infinite loss)

    God does not exist (¬G)
    * Belief (B) ⇒ −1 (finite loss)
    * Disbelief (¬B) ⇒ +1 (finite gain)

Pascal’s Wager assumes that God, if it exists, is an idiot and can’t tell you have no faith and are just hedging your bets.

Here’s how I know the Christian God does not exist… the story goes that He created us in a perfect state and then created the one thing that could ruin that perfection, told us not to use it (thereby making it interesting) and then created another thing that tricked us into using it, after which he condemns us to eternal suffering. I’ve met five year olds who are more intelligent and less cruel than this.

Everything else flows from that initial “set up” so once you accept that no “God” worth a s~~~ would pull a dick move like that on his own perfect creation, you don’ have to believe any of the rest of it either. Simple.

Now, a real “God” would have created humans, given us self-awareness and the power to choose our own paths and then sit back and see what we do with it without interference. Or maybe we’re the test group that gets the “f~~~-with” version of it… who knows and who cares… if it’s anything, it’s all rigged and we aren’t responsible for a damn thing we do. At least that’s what my Divine Excuse says… “`What this person did was his fated duty and hence justified, sanctified and forever condoned.” In other words, if you believe in God then don’t blame me for what I do, I was made this way.

I’ve known the solution to this answer, pretty much since i started living on my own.
But, it is simply put, the ONLY POSSIBLE LOGICAL solution.
Let us begin.—TRIGGER WARNING, and please be open minded.—

    You call that open-minded?

We do not know if god exists, or which god exists, but every god based religion offers an after life. This afterlife is what comforts us and lets us live the way we want to; without fear of death.

The after life doesn’t comfort me from “fear” of death, Jesus does. Without Him there is NO after live.
How can I be “afraid” of Death when it it was shown to me that other planes of existence do exist?

We have essentially no proof that this afterlife exists, aside from the proofs of “god” of which may or may not be delusions. The question here is, would you be willing to kill yourself to enter this afterlife? This utopia? With absolutely no proof. Would you kill yourself to enter this theoretical utopia?
    F~~~ NO!

So because I’m not willing to kill myself God doesn’t exist and there is no after life? Are you high?
Committing suicide is an affront to our creator. He gave us life and ONLY He can take it. Killing someone or yourself is not only murder ( yes, on yourself ) but is like saying f~~~ you to God.

So, we can not assume that a god exists.

That’s right. We have to believe He exist.

Now, let us say for some odd reason that god does exist, and there is an afterlife. How do we know which one is the right god?

The right God is the Living God, He who is, was and will be. Eternal and Just.
There is only one god who fits that bill and that’s YaHWeH, “He who is”.

We worship God not for His benefit but for ours. God doesn’t need to be an attention whore He’s got millions of Angels already worshiping Him since before the beginning of time.

SO! With this we can conclude that it does not matter if we worship god or not; so long as were a good person.

The rich man asked Jesus if he was worthy because he was a “good person”. Jesus told him to go and sell everything he’s got and join Him. The rich man was saddened. He realized that being a good person is nothing extraordinary. Giving God His rightful place in our lives makes us worthy.

Now, What if there is no God? There is a pretty high chance that this god and afterlife does not exist. What then? Who is our creator? What is the meaning to life? What is the purpose to life?

With ifs I can put Paris in a bottle and if you want to be damned with pretty high chances, be my guest. Our creator is YaHWeH, He who is, was and will forever be. Only you can give meaning to your life, hopefully in accordance with your creator but He gave you Free Will so you can do whatever you want. Just don’t blame anybody else at Judgement Day.

    How should you live?

According to the precepts laid out by very intelligent and spiritual men who knew what and who was good for them.

You have no solution but to answer this question, as you are not willing to kill yourself based on the possible delusions of other people.
How should you live if there is no meaning to life? if there is no purpose to it?

As I said before, there is a meaning to life, all you have to do is search and you will find.

There is only 1 possible logical solution to the question.

    That’s right, God does exist.

This is how i live my life and this is how every man should live…

Hell, you do whatever you want and are free to believe or not. Your soul’s destruction isn’t on me, it’s on YOU.

Hopefully someone can figure it out; it’s more one of those things that you have to figure out to really believe it.

    Amen to that.

I totally respect your opinion, one thing I hope for all men on here is that they live in a place they can worship or not worship how they chose without being threatened. Unfortunately, that may not always be the situation for some. As for myself I believe in Jesus.

Wally: Amen to that! It’s great we have the freedom to worship or not in the West, and to worship who or what we want without interference!

My only ‘beef’ with it is that Churches get tax exemption and thus special treatment.

And my last post should have read ‘Andrea Dworkin’ not ‘Andrew Dworkin’, though she looked like an ‘Andrew’.

Peace upon you from the Flying Spaghetti Monster—may his noodley appendage comfort all… 🙂

Here’s where I’m at. I think it’s all a scam. Religion seems to be, by and large, geographic. If you are born in India–you’re probably Hindu. China–Zen or Chan Buddhist. Italy–Roman Catholic. And so on…

I’ve been raised Christian, but am basically an agnostic at this point. Church is utterly exhausting to me. Hearing the same old thing, over and over, same songs, and at the end, the recruitment drive. What fun. I’ve never found peace with Jesus, I have found peace by delving inward and becoming my own person. I think any religious persuit is a personal one, and each person has the ability and freedom to do so. I’m also to the point where I respect people enough to make their own decisions in life and I have ZERO interest in ‘spreading the faith’. I have much more faith in Science and am more concerned with the advancement of mankind/humans than I am reading something that was written by people in caves.

Just an FYI—guys, we got it all wrong. Here’s how I know that.. This is taken from the Hubble Space Telescope this year. It show’s a PORTION of the Andromeda Galaxy. Essentially, it’s one point that is magnified using technology to show just how vast our universe is. One point in an infinite number of points. My jaw hits the floor every single time I watch this.

    @ Untamed.

Why not kill yourself? If god tells you to kill yourself to enter heaven, Why would you not do it?

BECAUSE YOU DON’T HAVE COMPLETE FAITH IN ALL OF THE DAMN BULLS~~~!

There is a CHANCE, whether it be small or big that there is no Utopic Heaven when you die.
Everyone knows this and many deny this.

The point of the “please be open-minded” is to get you to actually answer the question.

    If there is no god.
    If there is no creator.
    If there is no fate.
If there is absolutely no purpose to life.

What is the purpose to life?
    How should you live?

Since there appears to be no hope of anyone answering it…

There is no point, there is no meaning to life, there is nothing that makes us special.
The only thing that every human being wants, is that utopia ending. To Reach Heaven.

How do we reach this heaven if there is no god? if there is no afterlife?

This is the one thing that so many people have given away their responsibility.
How do we reach this heaven if there is no god? if there is no afterlife?

    What is the solution?

To create a Utopia here and now on earth. Rather than waiting for death to risk there being no afterlife or utopia awaiting.

If we did create this utopia and followed no religion; How could any god be upset with this? We created or tried to turn this world into a utopia?

Or would it be better to wait for death? to put the faith of our lives into the hands of possibly non-existent beings?

Why the f~~~, are we such an irresponsible race? So much that we can not even take responsibility for our own lives? for our own state of being?
So much that we have to say to god, “Oh! It’s not my fault that the world is a complete s~~~ hole, so please let me into your utopic heaven”

There is only one way to live. Be it that you believe in god or not.

The reason why i want you to think about the other possibility, or the possibility of there being no god, is because when you believe in such religions, you NEVER truly ask yourself what the purpose of life is? It’ll always end up as being, “The purpose of life is to live, worship, die and enter heaven.”

Well, this is why my goal in life is to leave society…
    and start a new one.

I know the answer to the question, “What is the meaning of life?” Only those ready for it will understand it and it will just disappoint the rest, but the answer IS the question.
Then there is, “If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?” Not only does it NOT make a sound, it never even fell.

Rent the full version of “What the Bleep do we Know? Down the Rabbit Hole” and listen to the extended interviews. Or perhaps read “The Celestine Prophecies”. I tried reading “The Fourth Way” but my god man!

I like philosophy, but I generally do not read other philosophers, because….what’s the point? lol

As far as “god” is concerned, who cares? God is so far beyond our comprehension it is simply better to worship your neighbor, because that is as close to god as you will get until you die. There is no hell or heaven for that matter, just that tiny spark called a soul that is basically a tiny part of god living and experiencing life. God is all things known and unknown in the entire universe and “satan” is not a being, but the evil in us all.

We having fun yet? lol THIS is why entitling opinions is a BAD idea, but I guess we have to go through this learning process yet AGAIN on this planet. Then again it seems only women who have the problem of “other peoples opinions differing from their own.” Hmmmmmm

All I can say is that living as an atheist is so f~~~ing hard I could not endure it,it sucks the very “soul” out of your breast and s~~~s on it for good measure.
If you dont think so just wait and see! (look maybe it will be different for you guys its just my opinion)
Im sure those of you who are atheist will just flame me for that and I get it,I would have been the one flaming several years ago.
I am not going to give my spiritual status (and I have one) because what I worship/embody was my own to find and I am going my own way on that.
All I would like to say is I found the answer to Purpose (ie life on earth) was more important in the final analysis.I belive there is Purpose.

What is the point of life? There was a movement in Philosophy known as Existentialism that answered this very question.

Jean Paul Sartre summed it up pretty well. His example was a paper cutter. The reason a paper cutter exists is to cut paper. It was designed by someone with a “point” in mind. The idea of the machine was conceived and then later the machine was created. Existentialists would say its essence (or the point) came before its existence.

People, and ESPECIALLY MGTOW, are not like a paper cutter. We exist FIRST, and when we grow up we define our existence (or our “point in life”) LATER. For the Existentialist, existence comes before essence.

The blue pill man doesn’t accept this. He thinks he has a role in society that consists of obligations and unspoken commitments and duties and yada yada bulls~~~. He has a point in life all right, one that he spends his entire life trying to fulfill. Don’t fall into that trap. You are not a tool with some external purpose. The “point in life” is yours and yours alone to create.

    Our minds are finite.
    The Creator is infinite.

How can the finite ever truly comprehend the infinite?

Id like to to add that most of what people are referring to as “Christian God” should most certainly read about Christian Mysticism, Nag Hammadi, Dead Sea Scrolls. I also would like to point out that the good ol King James bible was modified to suit the powers to be, the Catholics also molested sacred words to contour their own bullls~~~.

The best bet is to find a list of books that Catholics deem as “Heretical” and read every one of them.
The library of Alexandria was torched and destroyed them for the purpose of destroying Gnosis.
If these people would have never done that, you would probably have an easier time answering the question for yourself.

    Read the Emerald Tablet also.

Actually, I agree with you, at least in the case of children. Why? Let’s say Grandpa dies. The atheist like me says to Johnny, ‘Grandpa lived a rich, good life. There’s nothing more, but at least you had the chance to know him and learn from him.’. Contrast this to the Christian, ‘Grandpa is in a better place now, heaven. And some day, you will be reunited with him’.

Church gives people a sense of community, and belonging. If it did not, why would you have ‘humanist’ or ‘Universalist’ churches filled with a significant subset of non-believers? Indeed, happiness and Church attendance are correlated. http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2006/02/13/are-we-happy-yet/5-3/ — but, correlation does not necessarily imply causation. And just because something makes us happy, does not mean it is true. I would argue when people lose their faith it can be devastating to them. Most deeply religious people I’ve known are happy. Most atheists I’ve known are also happy. But most of the ones I’ve known are the highly analytical spock-like types in STEM fields. So maybe not representative.

I also will say, I disagree completely about there being no purpose in life without religion. There are many great scientists and inventors, who were non-believers, but that didn’t stop them from having goals or advancing knowledge or technology and making major contributions.

ON “GOD”…. I just think “god” is the law(s) of nature. The natural way of things. The way things “ought to be”. Absolute right and wrong. Animals are born with this too. They know the difference. You want to see “god” at work? Small example:

    ••••••

The dogs know. The child knows. We are all born with it. Even in the end, the mother knows.

ON “THE CREATOR”: It’s an accident, man. You were the fastest sperm by accident. The Earth is exactly the right size and distance from a Sun with exactly the right makeup to support life – by accident. Any closer and further away and we couldn’t be here. Your choices are all half chance just like everyone else’s.

ON THE MEANING/PURPOSE OF LIFE: Well, that’s for each of us to CREATE. Otherwise there is no meaning of life. Your existence didn’t happen “on purpose” so therefore you don’t have a purpose until you create one.

    •••••••

Disclaimer: I don’t really know if any of this is right. Its just how I see it. But I also really believe there is no other way to see it. If there is…. I hope someone will tell me how.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

@keymaster I don’t pretend to understand it all, I’m far from a lot of conclusions about many things concerning these unfathomable questions.
I know one thing though. No one can discount personal experiences on the bulls~~~ excuse that Christians have delusions. There is undeniable proof that the human body is a shell for something ethereal, formless yet animated in its basic energy state. I have had the living experience of that and that story few know. The nature of the atom itself clearly shows a dual state, fluctuating from the physical to the non-physical so rapidly our instruments can barely measure.
Our scientists are now beginning to dab into other dimensions with CERN. Can they open a portal to another place in the galaxy? Bend time or teleport someone through?Who can say what is possible or not except an all knowing mind? I respect everyone’s opinion. I’m still learning but certainly not a f~~~ing mengina.
