    Got the idea for this thread from another one about men making great things on their own 🙂 Show me, MGTOW, what have you built? Show me the product of your sovereignty!

    I’ll start;

    Workbench of Man.

    My new workbench, built entirely from pallets and salvaged wood. The table top is actually old floor boards, some roofers had simply cut a huge rectangle out of a floor. I salvaged it with the help of an old MGHOW, tidied it up and the rest is history 🙂

    To give it scale, the red triangle on the right of the image is the corner of an average size chair, out of frame. This thing is more than 3 and a half feet tall and 5 feet long, the legs are three-by-fours: Biggest I’ve ever built but the perfect size for me.
    As an added interesting point, the saw, plane and mallet in the foreground have been in my family for 5 generations 🙂

    Alchemist, great idea for a thread. And that work bench is really nice. Looks solid and sturdy, like they should be.

    I’m alost finished building this shower. All that’s left is to grout it, seal it and then install the fixtures. I’ve never installed tile or built a shower before, so I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. I’m making this bathroom completely rustic, so I wanted the shower to look like I am standing in a weathered old farm shed.

    And last summer I built this picket fence for my mom. The summer before that I built the deck you see. The deck started off as a wheelchair ramp for my dad. Since I had to make a platform on the ramp, I made it big enough for a few chairs, that way I could wheel my dad right out the back door and into the shady garden.

    And here is an entablature and crown molding I built a few years back. It’s still one of my most favorite creations.

    You couldn’t do that with a wife 😀 she would shame and bash you forever! 😀

    I bought an original Art Nouveau bedroom for about 1/5 of its price, and briefly restored it – not so much work:
    anti-Woodworm treatment
    painting with transparent lacquer protection
    a few tweaks here and there

    It counts?

    Currently building a flip-up workbench in the garage so I’ll have a work bench and still get the car in there. You’ve inspired me to finish the damn thing and brag with photos!

    Fantastic work everyone 🙂 Read every post, even the lego tower and Eric Lauder is right, it’s still a product of your sole freedom 🙂

    ….surely that’s not REALLY Donald Trump? hahahaha

    Keep up the good work guys, I look forward to seeing your workbench, Shiny 🙂
