I keep seeing this WOD thing in almost every CrossFit video I’ve seen, but like all those other initials, I don’t know what WOD means. Does it mean “workout day?”

Thanks. I thought it had something to do with working out.

Hey R-Evil, whatever acronym you see and don’t conceive the meaning try urban dictionary, sometimes I have to go there when I forget an acronym.

I shouldn’t have to learn what acronyms are. People should quit being lazy in their communication and form 3 letters into 3 words. You’ll never see me talk with initials. I prefer proper English. That’s what I was taught in school.

As MGTOW keeps steaming along it will come to mean: Women Of Despair.

When women lead, destruction is the destination. -- Me.

I felt the same way in flight school but saying Very High Frequency Omni Directional Range tires the tongue out before you even can say Omni Bearing Selector. VOR/OBS is much easy to say and saves allot of time.

Ya feel kinda like a newbie stuck in first gear while all the other race cars go screaming by, Acronyms are inescapable and taking mental notes helps allot.

On the other hand you’re supposed to say Zero when squawking and not use the letter O instead, 2390AT would be two, three, niner, zero, alpha, tango, they changed nine to niner to accommodate the Germans so not to confuse them as nine in German means “no”, not 9.

The old Crossfit website used to have the Workout of the Day posted as the central topic, which made it much easier to figure out what WOD meant. It was a nice format, though dated.

@mgtow, So that’s why they say “niner.” I spent ten years in aviation maintenance but never learned that. Well I’ll be.

Then “niner” will be my WOD (Word of the Day).

I hate the buzzwords people use today as well

—–Gate – to describe some scandal

‘meltdown’ for a minor public display of emotion

Rape this or that – If you haven’t been forcibly penetrated against your will STFU ,it’s demeaning
    to others that have.

Starting every f~~~ing sentence with ‘So’, like Chandler on Friends.

Lifes a bitch, but you don't have to marry one!

Sometimes its best to research acronyms before you click.

    Case in point. BBBW

When I was younger I clicked on a link like the above and learned my lesson after my eyes stopped bleeding from the eye-bleach I had to use.

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion, it is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning; it is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

It’s intentional = You obviously are not a member of the crossfit crowd. Followed by, “Hmmph, harrumph”.
I am not worthy of crossfit….and of that I am, glad.
