    What does a handshake mean to you?

    Nothing !!

    A person’s actions and behaviors are what’s important.

    Whenever I get a job interview the first handshake means “welcome,” and the second one means “Thanks for wasting my time, you’re not hired!” Even though it’s not said flat out, but I know that’s what it means.

    HOLY S~~~ WHY DOES CAMARADERIE HURT SO MUCH

    Because most times its worth it.

    @russky
    When some douche tries that bulls~~~ style of hand shake. I stare the f~~~er down and pointedly keep my hand in the CORRECT position for a handshake for 30 seconds. If he doesn’t shake correctly within 30 seconds, I disregard him from that point on and he stays in my not to be trusted book.

    Th palm down handshake is a dismissive gesture of the import(value) of the other person. It is a cross between Royalty, the effeminate, women, and religion visually displaying not only “dominance” but the lesser worth of the person that type of extension of the hand is afforded.
    Think of a hand being offered for you to kiss.

    The vertical position of the hand is indicative of the first meeting as equals and in peace.

    I had an ex military Russian guy in his late 40s give me a hand shake once…f~~~ me…it was the death grip. I felt every bone in my hand scream.
