The good thing is there’s plenty of water available to cool it in the event it overheats! With a simple convection style system, any loss of electrical power to the unit the “flood gates” could be opened, destroying the reactor, but without a meltdown and subsequent radio isotope release. All nuclear power plants should have an inexhaustible passive water supply.
It would have saved Fukushima Daiichi, but not Chernobyl, they cut the water supply on purpose during a fable and flawed test.
