The Intercontinental Exchange named a woman to serve as president of the New York Stock Exchange Tuesday, for the first time in its 226-year history.

Stacey Cunningham, who currently serves as the chief operating officer of the NYSE Group, will become the 67th president of the exchange, succeeding Thomas Farley, the Intercontinental Exchange, which owns the New York Stock Exchange, said in a statement.

“Since the moment I stepped onto the trading floor, the NYSE has always held a special place in my heart,” Cunningham said on Twitter. “I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity to lead this organization.

The last severe stock market meltdown was 2008 and things have only gotten worse since with regard to debt. Sooner or later a day of reckoning will come again.

Yeah, let’s give a man’s job to underqualified women because they have a vagina. Nothing can go wrong there. I hear they are also very good at building bridges and protecting the financial info of millions of Americans.

Honestly, i am glad this is happening. Eventually once enough catastrophes are caused by women being handed positions of power and influence (then f~~~ing up like they always do) maybe men will realize it’s a stupid idea. Or, society will collapse, and be replaced by a strong patriarchy.
