Stupidest movie ever and it should not have taken that many hours to drown anybody. What are your thoughts??

He was young, in love, and made his decision. End of story. I did note via the photographs at the end of the film that she led an adventurous life afterwards and not a wasted one. I think the idea was to show his sacrifice was not in vain. Only in the movies. I too am curious what others think. Thank you for starting this thread.

I liked watching the ship break up and dudes falling and bouncing off the objects and the metal tone clangs they dubbed in. Other than that it was a woman’s movie!

I’m old enough to have lived through many years of the mystery of where the Titanic had gone down!

When they found its location I was thrilled and bought the book to know more about the tragedy, then that Movie came out..

Never cared or watched it! I still don’t own the DVD despite owning a large collection! What morbid sense of humour to have created such a film!

It’s a very tragic story, those people didn’t stand a chance, they saw death coming and they couldn’t do a thing about it. How they turn such a horrible disaster into a romantic movie is beyond my comprehension!

It’s aimed at women, Jack is supposed to be “The one” so when he dies the bitch is supposed to be shattered and never recover. As if she is never going to fall in love or date ever again.

I didn’t mind the way Winslet looked in it when it first came out. I saw a little of it recently and thought she had a fair bit of back fat and looked like a rugby player in some of the dresses.
