I first like to say that I have read up a few books that touched up on retirement. They say things like after you retire your 9 to 5 job, there would be a big void that you have to fill and that you would lose your chef aim in life. Also, if you are married and you retire, you might get stuck with your spouse most of the day which might lead both of you to have big arguments over the littlest things since the two of you would be very irritated of each other for seeing each other so much. We are in a mgtow forum though, and I do not think that many of you guys are going to have a spouse through your retirements. But the fact that we have to fill a void once we do retire, we better have a lot of hobbies to do throughout the day or else we might lose our minds of boredom. I know that if I would be alone and would retire completely from work, that trying to fill a void is not something that can be taken lightly. Also, I believe that the older you are, the more good friends you will lose. So how will you guys handle filling the void of retirement once you guys do retire? Are you just planning that you might work part time from your golden years till age 70, just so there is something for you to do in part of the day? I am not saying that I do not have a lot of hobbies, but I would like to get some ideas.

Not me. I love my career.
Besides, I’m too poor. I’ll have to work until I am not able to.

Anonymous11Considering that the net present value of total unfunded mandates created by the US Government for the Free S~~~ Army(FSA) now stands at 205 trillion dollars and growing. The US is mathematically insolvent.
One cannot overcome the pure logic of mathematics no matter how many SJWs there are screaming.
Retirement will not be an option. I’m making plans on how to maintain income during the tribulation. I will work until I die just as our ancestors did 4 generations past.
If I’m able to retire comfortably then i’m going to make my hobbies into my new job, going to continue building models, welding, painting, and my pursuit of knowledge. That’s my fantasy about retirement but if I have to work until I drop I’m fine with that too because at least all my money is for myself

Probably not going to retire. Keeping busy is essential to maintaining a quality of life well into old age. It also helps stave off dementia.
Suck the government tit like a multicultural, multi-ethnic, transgendered, homophobic, religious, unproductive lesbian feminist wanna be, in a heterosexual (off)white mans body for as much as I can get, while screaming victim-hood the whole time.
Seriously though?
Off to the woods I go, permanent hunting/fishing/camping trip on my own property once I “officially” retire.
For me wishing I was alone is far far worse than actually being alone. There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it

I agree. I have also been taking omega 3 fish oil pills just to stave off dementia too.

I fear dementia/Alzheimer’s more than death. So I want to do everything I can to prevent it.
I’m shooting to retire super early…hopefully by 40 if the market treats me well. Ultimate plan is to spend a couple years traveling checking different places out, and relocating to one of said places that has a much cheaper cost of living if I find one I really like…maybe bounce around every few years
I’m pretty easy to entertain, I don’t see myself getting bored. I can waste an hour at the gym every morning, hang out at a local breakfast joint for an hour, kill time throughout the day just putzing around with the dog enjoying nature whether it be hanging out at the beach, hiking, or whatever, the internet is always entertaining, if I did relocate I’d probably shoot for the outskirts of a touristy area so there would always be things going on, mid day power naps are always epic, legal prostitution would be entertaining etc.

Haha I don’t plan on becoming a leech in retirement, but it will put a smile on my face knowing that in retirement I will be providing less tax money to our welfare state than I did while working. Its certainly going to be nice paying less every year to support a system I despise.
Be rich. Use hookers not fake hookers.
If everything goes as planned, and the stock market doesnt get nuked by TPTB, I will be retired in about 2 years. Going to cruise around and visit friends and family across the country in my camaro with my dog. After that not sure what I will do with myself. But drinking mai tais on the beach seems like a good option.
If my health holds up and I don’t keel over. I am planning on living on a sailboat and sailing the world. Going to rent out my house and have a property management company manage the tenants. Burn rate for living on a 30 foot sailboat averages 20K per year.
My income streams during retirement will more than cover that, so I will have a positive cash flow the entire time I’m out sailing around.
Retire?
With what?

I hate to say it, but I don’t think I will ever retire. I’ll probably die before then, or economic conditions would be so rough, that I won’t ever be able to retire. Retirement is so 20th century.

Probably play video games all day, take naps, learn new skills, spend time with my dogs, continue to seek knowledge, exercise, upgrade/improve my place, watch UFC/Boxing (if it still exists), become a black belt in as many martial arts as I can, and travel the world. I don’t get bored. I can easily spend 10 hours on the couch switching between video games, movies, and napping. I don’t need human contact and I’m very comfortable with being alone. Although I don’t mind it as long as they are intelligent beings.
But yeah – ideally – if I have money – I’d travel a lot in an RV – fishing, hiking, eating.
Failsafe retirement – if I won’t have any money and would have to live off social security – I’d play video games and smoke weed all dayproud carrier of the 'why?' chromosome
It might be extremely premature for me to speculate on what I plan to do in my 80’s. But I personally would like to become like Grant Thomson, building gadgets for fun and making video about them.
