I’m a retro guy, and my ideal place would be circa 1975 with all that 70’s furniture, pictures, wall hangings, dark walnut paneling, wallpaper, and of course shag carpeting. The colors would include avocado green, harvest gold, bright orange, etc.A place that Telly would have been proud to call his pad back in the day.

Whoa, you certainly are retro, my friend. LOL

    No Need for LOL
    I’m dead nuts serious.
Well, maybe because I’m being serious you can actually put in the LOL.
Either Way, THAT would be what I will be doing at some point in the future.
I have a small version now, but would ideally like it ALL 70’s from one end to the other.

Yep, I knew you were serious. The LOL was probably unnecessary. You just described it so perfectly I had a picture in my mind. Maybe the LOL was because I wouldn’t care for that type of décor, but we all have diverse tastes.

I wanted to park my motorcycle in the house, but I can’t get it in the door.

Hell yes! That thought occupies all riders’ minds right?

I too am a minimalist so I have the bare minimum

spartan is key. Also, as long as you’re organized, you can actually own a lot of s~~~ and it still look spartan.

It’s just as well I couldn’t get it in the door because my house is pretty small and there just isn’t room for it.

Yes it is a good thread.

Oh yeah, that’s beautiful. That would definitely work.

Awesome. Especially the train set. I used to be in awe when I saw some older guys’ set ups as a kid.

When I was five, “Santa” had set up a Lionel toy train around the Christmas tree for me.
I still have it, and I set it up around the Christmas tree every year.

When I was a kid, a lifetime ago, I had a very old train set. If you put 3-in-1 oil in the smoke stack on the engine, it would heat it up and puff out smoke.

I wish I still had it. For sure an antique.

Several paintings of BSA and Triumph motorcycles on my walls, shelves of vintage camp stoves, a Nixie tube clock I built myself. Pictures of steam trains in my bedroom, all originals, no prints.

My vintage tube (valve in UK) hifi amplifier and turntable. I also have several mechanical clocks and a mechanical barograph.
In the garage I have my two motorcycles and a workshop with lathe and miller with stereo music out there too.

My place is clean and tidy with all my tools to hand. Above all, it is silent when I need it to to be and no one hogs the bathroom for hours on end. Few women understand the virtue of silence.

Storage space for my tools atm. Later I would not mind creating an interesting living space.
