What a lil old lady told me once

This old lady was a friend of the family who grew up threw 2 world wars . She had been with her husband her entire life . She was like a hundred when she died .

She would tell me stories . One i have never forgotten is she told me a story about how the people were before ww2 . She said it brought the people together . I have heard this before .

Jesus said he didn’t come to earth for peace or some s~~~ .

But back to say ww2 . Positives . Like because s~~~ is really bad it would make the good times stand out . Loosing fear of death to some degree as well .

I thought to about the things that have gone on here recently . Some c~~~s i think said it effected them in a negative way gravel pit . Ok its been f~~~ed but i see positives that have come out of this as well . The positives certainly out wiegh the negatives .

To take from disaster or tradgedy . Laughter still the number one medicine.

… and when I think way back .. even before this more recent time you mentioned .. I am also glad .. I had the opportunity to read and learn from some of long time forum member .. Stealthy and his longer posts .. before he had to leave site

many will remember him and his free association posts where he pulled no punches telling how he planned to improve “his own life” giving detailed lists of what “was working” .. and not working in his life and his work space dealing with it all

the current stuff and the old stuff .. all adds up to a learning for me .. something from each era

I remember one of Stealthy’s old lines that I borrowed and still use today .. especially in a world filled with awalt

Stealthy was a good c~~~ . He taught me about mangina capos . Big adjustment but freeing .Understanding how a capo works .

A mangina capo for lurkers is when your ex gives her knew man all control and the c~~~ thinks he holds the power over you on phones and s~~~ . There always polite to you in person and hand control back to the master . The master knows you would smash the capos face in so she gladly takes the rains so she doesn’t have to look after a paraplegic .

I saved a few of Stealthy’s more interesting lines .. some were really fun and made me smile
I don’t know if I should post them since he wanted all erased .. but I suppose I could paraphrase a couple

he said paraphrased “Buy Books, buy old books and read them, books without batteries .. learn all you can .. Take Those Books to Lunch”

.. and the last two here are probably my favorites

“A Woman needs to spend Tons of Money to decorate her space” .. “I order Two Posters and hang them on the wall”
and finally
“Avoid Sicilian Women if at all possible .. when they are angry They Pound on Walls, they Yell through Walls .. and even Tear Wallpaper Off of the Walls”

Isolation brings me back time and again. Feeling more alone thanks to a fallout with a woman I was helping. This was a couple of months back but a friend I’d known for a year. Can’t believe how they just cut you off when your supposed to be mates helping each other through bad times.

It’s all good though, I have just been through some winter blues and getting over a bad dose of the spring flu. Back to training f~~~ing hard and living like a monk. Does my head in though when you think you havea decent mate and they flake like everyone else. I knew the waters were dangerous, but damn they are heartless sometimes.
