Yep, things are getting rough my brothers.

So, I am not a social person. Especially, first thing in the morning.

Got reassigned temporarily (supposedly) to give technical assistance to purchasing group. As stated in previous posts it is predominantly female.

The queen bee had been complaining for years but my old boss just ignored her. He retired and new boss appears to have the hots for her. She wears skirts, heels and prances around like a queen bee in the middle of her hive. New boss caved and here I sit smelling her perfume and evaluating my options.

Anyway, every morning as people arrive it is the litany of hello, good morning, etc, etc. I usually arrive early and have my noise canceling nirvana music cranked at max volume.

So, today I ran late and as I walked into the Prarie dog farm was met by smiling faces and GOOOOOD MORNING. I did the normal guy grunt and went to my location.

He isn’t very social the guy across the way said. The queen bee responded “that’s all right, we’re going to make him pleasant.”

As the technical person I am the voice of authority. I preach this fact to the younger engineer’s. As the voice of authority your word has to be correct. In our business people’s lives are on the line. We don’t have the luxury of being wrong. This means that I have to concentrate. Mentally focus.

Now, this female group pushes keys on their keyboard and clicking mouse key while talking on their phone or to a coworker. Not just one person is doing this. All of them, all of the time. Also, someone is having a birthday or some other kind of ceremony. That means all kinds of junk food and cakes, cookies are stacked on desks. Then other groups of people have to come over and munch on food while talking and spewing crumbs.

To them this behavior is acting pleasant. They have no respect for those that build.

Anyway, just venting.

Pleasant huh…
How about civil.
Work ethics are practically gone, so I recommend just be civil.
Instead of the grunt a simple good morning. .and nothing else.

Hell yes. I see this s~~~ everyday. Disgusting. I absolutely hate grocery store cakes now because it seems like there was a f~~~ing cake for something everyday for two and half months. Thats when I drew the line. I go to provide my skills for money. I’m not there to listen to some land whale go on and on about where she went on vacation or what they did to the house all while shoveling in junk food. Its just absolultely disgusting. I will go to the holiday dinners or make an appearance if my boss asks me to but thats about as far it goes these days. Alot of company offices have become adult day care centers.

The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "save us!"....... and i'll look down and whisper "No."

I think her statement was more of a quick response to satisfy the hive, and not a call to action, but you are living in the situation, and I’m not.
