After the “Obamination” let the internet be controlled by the UN, I was just waiting for the s~~~ to fall out. I could see it peeking when as china forced peering on their three big state controlled internet pipes and then racheted up the throttling of the “great china firewall”. Why did they do this? Well to force vendors worldwide to host local instances or copies of their services in china where they can install a political officer. Also to put Chinese spies in the international companies offices in china to steal intellectual property. SOP.

Now Russia is looking to china for advice on setting up the “great Ruskie firewall“.

You may ask, “so what, how does this affect me? I’m MGHOW.”. Well this is the beginning of the Balkinization of the internet. Where countries, governments, or hell, even the USA start restricting information. This creates a “echo chamber” where only “approved” information is allowed. Come January I will switch my web browsing through an anonymous VPN that keeps no logs and using anonymous DNS services. In essence I will have two online personalities. One which I will keep as squeaky clean as possible and the other for my prepping, alternative news and MGTOW. The next 10 years will be interesting as governments go after non-normie debt slaves. That includes MGTOW. Expect that politics everywhere to get more polarized and more surveillance looking for non-conformists. There may be no choice but to go total stealth monk mode in the near future, but that would suck cause I enjoy shooting the s~~~ with you guys.

Yeah they will try as much as they can to shut it down. I’m already certain big Government is trying to introduce legislation by the back door to prevent free speech and the growth of mgtow. They did NOT “turn control over the internet” to the UN. Just part of the DNS service for non-US domain names. And well it should be – we’re just asking the rest of the world to pull their own technical weight.

We still control all the .com, .net., and (I think) .org domain registries, along with dozens or hundreds of others.

Now that there are HUNDREDS of TLDs out there, asking the US to bear the entire burden of managing the top level DNS for all of them is ridiculous. This is a good thing – it’s about time the rest of the world pulled their own goddamn technical weight.

Using a VPN or Tor/Tor Browser is just smart internetting these days anyway. Word of warning though, you’ll need to have patience as your speeds are going to take a dump going through a VPN or Tor. Small price to pay for privacy though in my opinion.

Good advice Kevin. I would also add that there are fast VPNs out there. I get almost 2MB/second out of mine on the download.

Now that’s going through a gateway in Canada mind you. If I go through Germany or Russia or one of the eastern bloc countries it slows down some, if for no other reason than the speed of light.

Oki-doki… Lets go over what exactly the Obamination gave away and what it means.

Obama relinquished the United States control over our Internet domain system to a nonprofit organization called the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

What is ICANN?

ICANN is a “multistakeholder” organization featuring countries like China and Russia. ICANN “helps assign domain names and top-level domains”–such as “.com” and “.org”–and is working toward adding even more domain names. Up until October 1, the U.S. had control over ICANN to ensure that the organization would not fall under international control and allow authoritarian regimes to engage in censorship. That all changes when the U.S. government’s contract with ICANN expires.

With the U.S. relinquishing control of ICANN, it will likely fall under the ITU’s (United Nations’s International Telecommunications Unit) control and risk being subject to censorship. Once the U.S. cedes control of it, nothing would stop it from folding into the ITU, especially now that the Internet is classified as a telecommunications service.

The bottom line is that a domain name such as mgtow.com would fall under the purview of ICANN. ICANN will be controlled by a number of countries and the UN. Should these countries mandate that MGTOW.com is a hate site they can have ICANN pull its .com record. Now that would not stop people from visiting the site but they would have to use its IP of 209.188.86.83. Ten years from now the internet will be a much different place. On the surface it will be perfect groupthink of conformist information. The Darkweb on the other hand will have grown exponentially.

If it gets bad enough, we can easily set up DNS v2 and run with that. Anyone can. Now, whether or not anyone else will use it is a different story, but this “control” is easily circumvented.

Remember, it was conservatives that censored the .xxx top level domain by lobbying against it.

Censorship is done at the physical/data layer by blocking ip packets from “undesireable” locations or “sniffing” their content and blocking that. Has nothing to do with the naming/DNS system which is what we’re talking about here.

Proof that DNS isn’t a particularly effective censorship tool: http://thepiratebay.org is still up and running. As are any number of mirror sites during the brief times it’s been down.

If the internet is to get blocked (i don’t think so any time soon) then it would be most likely the Tradcucks who did it because their worldview about women all lies within delusion.

Tradcucks are the biggest ones against porn and they sure as hell would be against anything MGTOW or even PUA because it all boils down to breaking their delusion. MGTOW states that women are dangerous because of society and the white knights and to either avoid them, pump and dump them or just to straight out not move in with them.

An just to elaborate a little more, ICANN has no authority to pull indivdual domains from DNS. They only have authority to delegate top level control to a given registrar. To this day, .com is still under the control of Verisign, and gets “parceled out” from there to registrars like GoDaddy and namecheap.com.

The domain was originally administered by the United States Department of Defense, but is today operated by Verisign, and remains under ultimate jurisdiction of U.S. law.[3][4][5] Verisign Registrations in the .com domain are processed via registrars accredited by ICANN. The registry accepts internationalized domain names.

Now i just looked up big Cuban t~~~ in google and there is over 2 million and 700 hundred thousand results for it just within just above half a second so these f~~~ers failed big time here because most of the links are .com with some foreign links as well but this is not on safe mode but i certainly could access porn on safe mode if i try to.

Once ICANN falls under UN control, and it will if it wants to keep its anti-trust status. So how well will the internet fare under UN control. Oh about as well as anything else the UN manages, badly.

All those new damn .xxx, .co or .biz you mentioned. ICANN is also looking at releasing a new one called .gay that will lead to .LGBT, then .ZEE or .ZIR and hundreds of more “gender” based domain extensions. Snowflakes will love it.

Yeah those are nothing but a scam promoted through ICANN and the top level registrars. Probably lubed with lots of payoffs and bribes. Why? Because they make a f~~~ton of money for the top level registrars. I mean look at this cash cow ICANN has with extensions.

How?

Because if legitimate businesses don’t register every F~~~ING one of them for their domain name cyber-squatters will. Then they can either extort or ransom the name. Once the UN gets involved expect to see thousands more. Then the UN sponsored censorship will begin all in the name of “multiculturalism, diversity and political correct groupthink”. Generously lubed up with tons of money from the sale of the extensions.

I handle 50 plus domains for a company. I recommended that we buy a number of the extensions and was laughed at by the board of directors when I mentioned cyber-squatting. They didn’t see the need for the cost. Fast forward 2 years and a cyber-squatter bought a .biz extension forwarded it to a porn site and then sent out emails to the board of directors that if they didn’t want the domain made public to cough up 20k. Oh they took me seriously then. Especially when I traced the person doing the scam to a competitor who was p~~~ed they didn’t get a contract. (email headers are your friend as well as an incompetent extortionist) Then I asked them for the money to buy all the extensions. Even after that they were resistant but I asked them what if next time its an actual criminal hacker and they are in a foreign country with no extradition. That got the money. It is expensive and I only have the top 10 extensions for each name. Its the best I can do to mitigate the scams.
