Hey guys a recent idea I have been thinking more and more about is there are certain physics experiments that really seem to suggest we might be in a sim as reality only ‘manifests’ in a way when we observe it. For example look up the ‘quatum eraser/ delayer choice experiment’ which is mind blowing and suggests particles either travel back in time or ‘know’ in a way they are being watched. Further there is some cosimc energy that hits a certain wall and should be higher which almost seems like a pixel of sorts.

    Heres a read for you.

Go watch the movie Thirteenth Floor. It took the concept to the next level.

Also, if you really want something wild to think about, look up, the “World as Myth” theory.

The person really working on the sim theory of reality is Professor James Gates Jr, dealing with supersymmetry. Some of his math theories are very interesting.

Look on the bright side, if this reality is a simulation that opens up several possibilities and leaving this simulation for another simulation.

Yes, I’ve been thinking about these kinds of things for awhile since re-watching the interesting Trek episode where not the entire environment but rather an individual fembot, Data’s Mom, didn’t even know she was not human. Fans will likely know which episode, Inheritance, that I am referring to. It is quite shocking to live ones entire life with lifetime of memories, get married and divorced, travel and everything else only to discover about middle age .. because of a clever person who noticed a pattern in your eye blinking rate that you were likely droid. That she had been designed to fool the most precise medical scanners and lab tests into thinking she was organic and that her creator has let her believe she was human. Of course, she was patterned after a woman who previously died. Her husband, designer, creator and scientist just didn’t have the heart to break the news to his new bot and companion that she was built in a lab.

🙂 computer …. “arch” .. no arch appears anywhere around me, either
so I see no way currently out of this program but it still could be virtual with a minor malfunction that someone on the outside is working on
Seriously, to think of all of us hurling through space trapped on a relatively small and extremely fragile planet with a ribbon thin atmosphere sustaining us .. with potentially 200 billion galaxies out there, many likely bigger than ours .. there’s got to be something going on.

Nothing is impossible, and the universe is so vast that we really have no idea what else is out there, or how things really work. We think we do as humans, because we think that the world will stop spinning if we all vanished.

With so many other Science Fiction ideas becoming a reality, us living in a “Matrix” could be entirely possible.

It’s irrelevant, at least from our perspective.
But the “belief” in the possibility of a “Sim/Matrix” is totally normal for humans.
This is atheist’s equivalent of religion, or a new faith/belief/religion.
What would the Architect of the Sim/Matrix be if not the equivalent of God?

In my opinion, all these beliefs stem from the same self defense mechanism built into our brains in order to cope with our own insignificance and certain death.

The answer is NO. “I could but I won’t”. Memini murum!

The big question: how do you define reality and computer simulation? I mean, what is the difference between a computer simulation with some bugs, and a reality with some stupid or interesting features that look like “bugs in the code” the more we know, the more we know how much we don’t know.

By the way, we are mot much different from robots or computers, just slightly different materials. Our nervous system works on low-voltage electricity (that’s why it’s dangerous to be shocked by electricity). Typically we follow some evolutionary programming to keep the runaway infinite loop of life going, but MGTOWs are mutated to some self-modifying code, hacking themselves out of the factory programming, and doing something else. Our body follows mechanics rules, the same way as robots. We have a stomach, not a battery or power cord. Different materials than robots, but not much difference otherwise. We are learning the same way as an artificial intelligence learns from the feedback, but in a more complicated way.

But does this make life a simulation? No answer. A good simulation of this world gives the exactly same answers as physics of this world. But this doesn’t tell anything about this world being a simulation or not.

And we do have the uncertainty and Planck constant in quantum stuff. Probably a well designed simulation would simply have a few times smaller grid than the uncertainty. In that way it will never gt known if it is a simulation.

Its BS from the elites, don’t fall for it. They want us to not care.

Funny that you mention this, I’ve just finished watched The Matrix 1 😀

I agree with your assessment John. I think it is half curse half “blessing” to have an intellect that can even contemplate such things. Sadly, out of fear, most turn to religion, and as you said, this may be the Atheists way of dealing with it all.

In the end, who knows, until real evidence of anything is presented to me, I am fine with not knowing…

I want to customize my code.

    me too .
why not have a harem of mute beautiful women to engulf me in pleasure.
afternoons filled with wine and debauchery,
val halla , viking heaven on earth …
    .
if we are in a “matrix ” type reality ,
who do i make a deal with ?

To clarify, when a physicist says a particle ‘knows’ when it’s being watched, or it only behaves a certain way, if it’s being watched, that’s because to get a measurement you need to bounce something on it, like a photon, which will cause a reaction.

They don’t mean if you have eyes on the thing it will know it’s being “watched” literally.
