He also goes on to list Franken, Weinstein, Moore, etc. and says that while they are all bad, some are worse than others. True. But can’t we just fire them all? Something tells me that he wants Roy Moore to not be in the Senate but Al Franken is ok.

I don’t want to believe anyway. I want to be indifferent. For the most part, I have no concern about who’s ass Franken groped yesterday, much less 20 years ago or whatever.

I honestly don’t care if Moore sexually assaulted someone 40 years ago. It cannot be proven that it actually occurred. I also do not think a punishment is helpful for something that happened so long ago, nor does his actions 40 years have much impact on his capability to be a politician today. Sure it could be a reflection of his current behavior as well as the past, but then there would be proof of a more current sexual assault.

As far as the idea that women need to be believed in order to prevent further rape….there are much better ways to do so without trampling on the rights of the accused. Encourage men and women to report crimes in a timely manner. Encourage men and women to avoid dangerous situations and be able to protect themselves. Discourage and punish men and women for knowingly reporting false crimes…also known as lying.

Yeah, the real kicker is that what this guy wants is for every man to be guilty until proven innocent. No hearings, no trial, just straight to a guilty verdict.

I’ve said this to a few people on the subject of sexual harassment: If you supported Bill Clinton back in 1996 because he had a D behind his name, if you didn’t want your star quarterback to miss a game when he was accused of something, if you throw your panties up on a stage because a guy can play a guitar, then YOU are a part of the problem. First we had to believe what ever some child-psychologist can get kids to say about some man abusing them. (see Wenatchee, McManville). I only meant to indicate that our mass media presented the argument that kids don’t lie about such things as sexual abuse……when that was all the rage….until it became clear that children can and do lie about such things. I referenced two notorious cases. Now, mass media is trying to pull the same crap argument only about women. Saying women don’t lie abut sexual assault. Yes, kids lie, and women lie. But not if you listen the experts in the media. The, “we have to believe” is the same tired message we are getting from a complicit media. While it may not personally affect you, and you obviously don’t believe, that mindset does affect judges, HR departments, colleges, media, laws, on and on.
