Just caught this little gem from the latest WikiLeaks.

“specific CIA malware revealed in “Year Zero” is able to penetrate, infest and control both the Android phone and iPhone software that runs or has run presidential Twitter accounts. The CIA attacks this software by using undisclosed security vulnerabilities (“zero days”) possessed by the CIA but if the CIA can hack these phones then so can everyone else who has obtained or discovered the vulnerability. As long as the CIA keeps these vulnerabilities concealed from Apple and Google (who make the phones) they will not be fixed, and the phones will remain hackable.”

Further it goes on to explain how most iOS systems Android systems Etc even things like virtual machines can be hacked. Apparently the popularity of iOS driven machines spawns a whole new branch of the CIA. This is most likely how Trump was hacked and if you continue reading you’ll see how it can so be easily covered up and how any single thing that any time you have ever done in your life can be used against you now.

Sure I might be the last one at the party to find this out. But I’m sure there are lots of men out there who don’t have a clue what’s about to go down. My head’s on the chopping block for putting my face out there and not to mention my less than controversial views.

What people are missing is for such information to become publicly known the information had to be leaked from the inside. It is clear there are those in these government agencies whom do not agree with the direction these agencies are going.

This is proof of major violations of the law by an government agency for wiretapping at a time when the President of the United States has come out as a victim of such wiretapping tactics.

The problem is that the CIA kept this public or unclassified service or services. In other words anybody could hack this and they had to do that to keep the United States name out of everything. So it looks like they have all these non-governmental corporations developing software malware Bots Etc which anybody can now access because it is simply unclassified public information. So are you ready for everything that you’ve done over the last 15 years or more to be revealed in a compromising situation. This is what people in the government are faced with which is why none of them can be trusted they all have blackmail held over their head. I’ve been alive for almost sixty years and I can tell you I have never seen anything like this nor have I read about anything like this in any history book. You guys some of you have no idea what kind of history is being made

I don’t think you have much to worry about personally, nothing you didn’t already have to worry about.

Yes, the government can hack your phone, but the other question to ask is, why would they? There is nothing for the government, or really media, to benefit from by hacking your personal information. You are not a public figure that could damage them, or effect their income one way or another. Perhaps the malware could be used to steal your identity, but this isn’t new.

I think the bigger concern has to do with the legal issues of this. The problem is that is now entirely too easy for a government official to gather information on a public official without a warrant because the information is already there. Then can cause damage simply by leaking it to the press. Because the information can never be made official, it is very easy for the information to be twisted in such a way that harms the public official, even if there is no real truth to it. Society tries people in the court of public opinion these days anyways.

The other scary part is that because the malware isn’t confidential or copyrighted, it is free for anyone to use if they find it in the wild. Meaning that it allows criminals and other countries to use our tech against our government and citizens with ease.

The only bright side to this is, I imagine much of this malware has already been identified and effectively disarmed with patching to the potentially effected operating systems.

May be the most damaging part is how the rest of the world will take the news and perceive the US government. This could seriously erode what good will we still have, changing the landscape of things a bit.

The most worrisome of any of this information is the ability of Quasi governmental agencies read Shadow government to disable the controls of your car while you are driving it. That quote should say it all.

It’s not just your phone it’s your computer your tablet your Samsung Smart TV anything can be turned into a microphone. Sure I don’t have anything personally to worry about unless somebody has a vendetta and has access to information which is apparently easily obtained. Why isn’t that a problem. Why is not the ability to assassinate somebody a problem

That’s not true. Bluetooth is a protocol, and there is only certain types of data that can be transmitted by Bluetooth. You cannot send steering commands and such through bluetooth.

You could likely do it through wifi perhaps, depending on how your car is configured. My car is fairly well loaded, but there is no computer control of the steering or breaking, just cruise control. The only way you could kill me in my car is to force acceleration…and somehow override the breaking. Even then I don’t think the cruise control system is tied into anything the wifi has access to. I don’t it’s possible.

I’m sure it’s possible with these self driving cars or even the cars that can self park, but those are relatively rare.
