Just sitting here tonight, watching the thunderstorm roll in. Intense lightning, scary looking clouds, can hear the rain about a half mile away… And even though in the city it is quiet except for crickets and thunder…
Being alone sometimes, even in a town full of people, can be good for your state of mind men.
No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.
We get thunderstorms everyday here in Florida, but unfortunately being in the suburbs you don’t get the ambience that I once experienced while being in the Peruvian Amazon. I remember very vividly how you could hear the rain come towards you from the distance. I love a good thunderstorm, so long as there’s no hail.

We had a thundershower today. I love listening to the thunder roll in, and then to hear the rain hitting the roof. There’s just something peaceful and serene about the power of nature.

Spent two years just in from the coast of west Florida, the daily summer storms were impressive… Twenty minutes of hell and it ends… Yet sometimes the Lightning shows were amazing. This one has arrived here in the mid states and is putting on a great show, lightning, swirling winds, flash flooding… Twenty minutes of rain now and the parking lot is under four to six inches of water.

Yet sometimes the Lightning shows were amazing.
I spent a few years in Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada) where I’ve seen some of the most vicious thunder and lightening storms ever (including Florida). Dust storms too! One year, half of North Dakota ended up being blown into Manitoba.
I remember watching one storm one night rage for hours over Winnipeg and I was watching it from Saskatchewan…
