This movie has Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, AND Peter Stormare? I can already tell I’m gonna like this.
The Dude was definitely a MGHOW
Best advice my dad gave me, "Don't get married. Don't have kids."
Great movie. Fell in love with white Russians.
"The wounds of honor are self inflicted"
I always found the subtlety of The Dude stealing phrases from earlier in the movie and repeating them as he goes along to be hilarious. “This aggression will not stand, man….”
After watching it, I now must own it. I’m looking for the Blu-Ray as we speak. That was just too awesome. It was weird, but in a good way. I tend to like movies that are “different” in nature. Loved every bit of it.
Might try this previewed
"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."
Different as in scariest = “The Conjuring”
"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."
Megachris%, I love that movie. Just thinking about my favorite scene makes me laugh. Did not expect the coffee cup in the forehead. That cracks me up every-time..
I was bound to be misunderstood, and I laugh at those who misunderstand me. Kind mockery at the well intentioned, but unfettered cruelty towards those would be prison guards of my creative possibilities. This so as to learn as much from misunderstanding as from understanding. Taking pleasure in worthy opponents and making language fluid and flowing like a river yet pointed and precise as a dagger. Contradicts the socialistic purpose of language and makes for a wonderful linguistic dance, A verbal martial art with constant parries that hone the weapon that is the two edged sword of my mouth.
I went to see if Barnes & Noble had it on Blu-Ray, as they were surprisingly having a deal where their movies were pretty cheap. I didn’t find it, but I found Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, A Clockwork Orange, and Caligula. I’m sure the latter two are the most inviting movies on the planet for visitors of my place to come watch.
