A guy I dropped at Heathrow airport yesterday was telling me about a couple of girls they hired at the beginning of the year. It was company policy to take on two uni graduates on a 12 month probationary contract. He explained to me it was a fixed salary and the employee and employer had a get out clause if things were not working out. He said one girl didn’t come across very well in the interview but he was pressured by HR to give her a go.
3 months later she asks to see him and asks for a pay rise.
How can I help?
I feel I deserve a pay rise.
Really? You do understand you are on a fixed contract that isn’t up for negotiation?
Yes I know but I still feel I deserve a pay rise.
Why?
Because for the last 3 months I have been on time every day and haven’t had any time off.
But that’s what every one does. It’s called having a job.He told me she actually got quite s~~~ty about it and stated she will accept it until the 12 months are up and she will assess her position then.
I just burst out laughing. I couldn’t help it. I asked him what his assessment would be.
That she may be better off elsewhere. Although I think it’s unlikely she’ll last that long anyway. So fresh out of uni, 3 months into a job and already thinks her presence is a major asset to the company. Another fine case of entitlement.
Women are so bad, if they changed the law so I kept the house, I still wouldn't marry one. I'd rather be homeless.
FNG’s these days are entitled as f~~~, thinking they deserve this or that with 6 months under their belt, come back in 6 years whiney ass blue pills. Maybe if you dump cupcake and her kids then you won’t be so stressed about your temp position…
Your 20's are for learning, your 30's are for earning.

Anonymous3You should indeed always be asking for more money, especially starting out. That’s what I did, demanded more money and promotions and kept looking for better opportunities.
It’s business. Work isn’t a charity and something you do for fun, it’s what you do to make money, and you’re worth whatever you can get.
The legality of the contracts can always be in question, but for the most part unless it’s a term contract, they don’t mean very much. A probationary period definitely is allowed but it’s probably at-will and the employee can leave whenever they want. That also means you can negotiate for more money instead of leaving.
Of course jurisdiction matters too.
Anyway, sorry, don’t see anything wrong with what this girl did. Everyone should demand it from their employer. Unless you’re running things, and even then, always look out for yourself. This is one area most men can really learn from women.
She has 9 months to figure out that all she has to do is tell HR she doesn’t feel safe around him and anyone else that won’t give her what she wants.
Self-improvement is my religion. Sovereignty is my god.
Anonymous12That is the Millennial attitude for you. They don’t want to work their way up and they think that everything they do is something monumental. Remember they grew up in a school system where they get awards for just taking part.

Pretty much this.
Every single millennial I’ve met has had pretty much the same qualities:
Dishonourable
Entitled
Slapdash
BackstabbingI can’t think of one that is the exception to the rule. And I thought the baby boomers were bad (they are!)…can’t wait for “Generation Z”..
And they called my generation ” slackers”…
I guess she must have read that article about being assertive. She’s going to assert herself right out of a job.
"Don't follow in my footsteps...I stepped in something."

Yeah last year we kicked one idiot employee out because they turned up to work in a Stormtrooper costume.
Generally speaking the younger generation tend to rebel against the older one. The way you would do this against the millennials would be no tattoos, no weird piercings, more conservative etc. Apparently it’s already happening.

That is fine you should ask for a pay raise when there is merit for one. Going to your boss and saying “I come on time every day and never missed a day for the last 3 months” is not a good reason for a pay raise. Give your boss a valid reason and they will listen and agree but the excuse she gave was terrible and also only after 3 months? Unless she can show she has increased the profit of the company to warrant even a 2% pay increase then no she should not get one.
There’s a reason why I never hire women.
Anonymous1Only yesterday a friend of mine informed me about a single mum at his work who had to be moved departments because she was so rude to suppliers that they refused to deal with her any longer.
When she was told, she hit the roof and demanded a pay rise and to be made a director.
She should consider herself lucky she still has a f~~~ing job.
Gods special little creature.
Peace is > piece.
A pay raise for being on time? What then…the medal of honor for holding a gun? Cant even change a cars tire or do car maintenance schedule and she asks for a raise for being mediocre…Its life cupcake…Go become the President because you have the brilliant idea of giving everyone a million dollars every year just for being a citizen…
I stand with feet apart and let my balls hang free...Manginas dont have balls...See how they stand and sit at the whim of their masters...
There’s a million reasons why I never hire women.
Fixed.
Nothing wrong with asking for a rise, but you need to do a good job to get it. Showing on time is not enough.

The vast majority of Millennials, especially women but including the men, can not manage that.
I’ve worked with several, most of the Millennials quit within a week or so.
Sinclair asking for a raise.
AWALT SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE DETECTED !
AWALT they just want more, without giving more !
I learned very soon in my life that you get money, if you make money for your boss. If you do a good job, and make your company a good amount of money, then you are a precious asset, and they will pay you to keep things going well.
Technical terms, it’s called ROI, this should be very basic to a c~~~ to understand, but they can’t.
Just see in a relationship, what men gives vs what they get, and you will see that those entitled c~~~s think that they deserve the world, just by the fact that they have pussies.- AuthorPosts
