I loves me some Victor Davis Hanson, or VDH to us, the cognoscenti.

I prefer to get my A+ Certification from CompTIA which wouldn’t cost so much. All you have to do is pass a few exams for the price of $200 each, and I believe there’s 4 tests. Problem is studying for those exams takes a lot of work. The books are over a thousand pages big and there’s several of those books. Amazing that what I know about computers is expanded to something that big. I wonder if most of those computer problems really do come up, because they cover things I never heard of, and I know computers since 2001 well.

Anyway, my point is, you don’t need the most expensive education to get anywhere in life. In fact, you don’t need much at all. My aunt and uncle have good paying accounting and machinery jobs and didn’t go to college for it, and they live very well on no kids. Marc Zuckerburg, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, the former CEO of Best Buy all didn’t go to college and look at them. Unfortunately, employers do look for college educated people even if it really isn’t all required. So you could be spending money on an education just for an offer that may not require it.
