During my Army days, I made friends with guys who were in different branches of the military. I would ask the most questions to my buddies who were Marines because I was fascinated by the difficulty of their training.

Granted I entered service in 2002 on the Army side, yet, this still brings back memories. It’s true what they say, you will never forget the names of your DS.
I also noticed how all the recruits were men. I wonder how many of the men in the video counted themselves as being ‘gender-fluid’. LMAO. I’m going to miss the good ol’ days when s~~~ was simple and to the point. Good find brother!Funny, isn't it? How women thrive on a mans time, attention and resources, while simultaneously telling him he isn't enough...
Drill Sergeant Smith (NYC, NY) and Drill Sergeant Riveria (Puerto Rico).
Both were fair minded but had no issues with dropping you onto the hot pavement to do pushups during the summer of 1983 at Ft Jackson S.C.Senior Field Leader Goodwin would do pushups along with you, but at his pace and his duration. I never saw anyone who outlasted him while doing pushups.
The training was hard and no bull s~~~, it was not until 1988 that they had integrated companies for training.
I’m going to miss the good ol’ days when s~~~ was simple and to the point.
That was when everything changed for me.

Drill Sergeant Riveria (Puerto Rico)
Ironically, my DS name was Rivera as well. With a thick Puerto Rican accent.. I doubt they are one the same.. but then again, who nows. I swear till this day, those mofo’s were gawddamn robots. They wouldn’t sleep. EVER. They’d just find a dark corner with an outlet, plug themselves in, and recharge for the nexts days torment. LOL.

A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.
After the initial shock of arriving on the Island, I had trouble not laughing when recruits would get slapped or chewed out. This cost me lots of bends and thrusts on the quarterdeck.
We had a guy try to get the blades out of his Gillette razor to try and cut his wrists. He was doing it just to get out, he wasn’t serious.
The DI screamed in his face how big a failure he was that he couldn’t even kill himself.
The funny thing was, we graduated and he was still “in processing” and stuck on the island.
It’s true what they say, you will never forget the names of your DS.
I have. I don’t recall the guy’s name but I remember his car. He had a red 1970 Mercury Cyclone with a 351ci Cleveland V8. He actually showed it to the whole platoon.
I think my brain just works different than most… 🙂
Birth Control Glasses should be mandatory for any MGTOW member going into public areas.
Women will be instantly repelled and leave the area at the highest speed possible!
Great look M_Mike! Where did you do BCT?

during the summer of 1983 at Ft Jackson S.C
Hey Greg,
I was there in 1994—during the hot, humid summer! And I wore those dorky Army glasses with a black headstrap. I think I lost about 2 pounds just from sweating all day. The drill sergeants were amazing marksmen. They hit every target. Whenever we got into trouble: flutter kicks, pushups, & arm circles.
The only enjoyable moments were: target practice, the obstacle course, the music concert, and reading a newspaper during Sunday afternoons.
