Cost of a vasectomy in 2006… about $350, and the awkwardness of having some man fondle my b~~~~. Strange yet tolerable. Cost of one months child support I paid for 17 years… $400. Value of knowing I won’t be there again… priceless.
I had a woman call me up once after my vasectomy. She said she thought she was pregnant. I told her that she should make some more phone calls. Again, priceless.

    Snip + Snip = Win

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion, it is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning; it is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

To men birth control is the birth control they use, not what other use.

A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!

I want to get one but it’s hard to find the time to recover and still go to work. My job requires sitting at a computer screen for the whole shift so soon as I work that out I’m going for it.

Speaking from experience, if you have a desk job, it is absolutely doable to get a vasectomy and recover nicely. It took me a weekend to get over the ache, just as long as you keep the jock strap on for several days after the procedure and you don’t lift anything heavy, you should be good to go. Consult with your physician and see what they recommend, but my experience has been phenomenal after the vasectomy.

If it has tits or tires, you know you're going to have problems.

Are you allowed to take sick days? Vasectomies are an outpatient procedure. You shouldn’t be away from work more than a day.

Women's brains and vagina have one thing in common. There is nothing in there until a man puts something in there.

Does it affect your recreational sexual activity in anyway?

Yes, less anxiety from knowing that there will be no pregnancy scare.

If it has tits or tires, you know you're going to have problems.

Thanks for that tidbit. I will consult my physician and start putting things in place.

Hey Traveling Man (and other curious responders!),

Check out the posts on my profile about my own personal vasectomy experience. And it’s fresh too as I had my snip exactly one month ago!

I had a local anesthetic and the whole procedure was over in less than 1/2hr. The doctor even showed me a piece of the tube mid-procedure.

I drove myself home afterwards, and aside from a dull ache for maybe 3 or 4 days I was back to normal in no time. No loss of sex-drive or any other complications. I just need to have my 3 and 4 month sperm count checked and I’m good.

I’m happy to answer any questions / queries anyone has!

Also, the procedure where I live is free!! 😀
