Anonymous0Hi there,
I am sitting fireside in a lodge at a state park on vacation right now. I am having a very good time and have had time such as this to think and reflect.I have neglected my own well being for quite sometime working and working, not doing much for myself. I finally made it to vacation two days ago and have been doing nothing but things Id like to do.
The foilage, rocks and scenery is beautiful here. I hiked for a few hours yesterday up and down steep rises across, feilds and deep into forrest. There wasnt many others out as it was cool at 37 degrees F, and raining. I had what seemed endless time and creation to myself to enjoy, and reflect with. It is a blessing to come to such places and exprience them.
Needless to say it has resulted in feeling much better, still have things to muddle through though.
This little trip is still in my same state, and 4 days long. Granted money is always a factor but I feel one trip a year and only four days off is not enough for me to keep my sanity.
The questions I would ask others here is how often do you vacation? How far away? How long is your trip? What ways do you cut down the costs of doing so?
And for those that live on a large amount of land, Do you find vacation even worth while? Isnt easier and much cheaper to DIY on your own land away from the house?
Thanks,
SoylentGeneration
Anonymous6Vacation as far as your wallet will take you. Go out and see the world. Most people won’t do it, so don’t be most people. Despite the lies you hear on the news, this is a beautiful country and a beautiful world. Take a world map, get a throwing knife, blindfold yourself, and throw the knife at the map. Wherever it lands, that’s where you go!
Anonymous42I thought vacations were abolished in the 90s’? Along with prosperity…
If it lands in someone eyes, don’t worry you will have long vacation all expenses covered, in jail.
To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

From what I remember vacactions used to be weeks not only a few days. Never in my adult life have I had a vacation lasting longer than six days.
I would say you are correct, sir.
Should I take it you do not vacation Tower?
I have 1 month vacation full payed every year
Not bad

Anonymous0Every day is a vacation when you don’t have a nagging lazy c~~~ in your life.
I like that Venom, as a lad I used to spin my globe and tell myself that one day I’ll go to the places that my finger landed on.
I have a ways to go, never thought I’d make it to the Reunion Islands, but being a MGTOW has allowed it. I hope all of us can get a chance to experience all of these fruitful endeavors and unc~~~ed.

I really want to go to Croatia, Ireland, Rome & Romania. Croatia is a beautiful city by the ocean. Ireland for the history and the beer. Rome because i gotta get to the Vatican. And Romania because i gotta get to Transylvania to take the tour of Dracula’s (Vlad the Impaler) castle.
I’ve personally never had much interest in travel. Always have had plenty to keep me occupied at home, and would rather save the money or put it toward hobbies and interests. Having said that, I’ve always enjoyed camping in out-of-the-way state parks — cheap and (usually) peaceful. I was in for a bit of a shock when I was invited for an “RV camping” trip a while back — people watching satellite TV, paved parking areas, meals cooked on a stove… why not just stay home? My idea of camping is more along the lines of a small tent, a backpack, and a fire.
My family did travel some when I was growing up, and I’ve traveled for work as well, so I’ve seen about 2/3 of the states in the US (representing all of the major regions of the country), many nations in Europe, and parts of Canada and Mexico (and the areas of the latter were NOT tourist resort sorts of places… think Mexico City and Juarez, plus some extremely remote villages). So I don’t feel like I’d be missing out if I never went anywhere again. About the only places I’d want to see someday are Russia and Ukraine.
