Love the statements about damaging effects of porn without giving any facts or evidence to support it. They say it causes health problems, without listing any actual problems. They say it’s demeaning to women, but don’t mention that women are paid or volunteer for this, otherwise it already is a crime. And why is it not considered demeaning to men as well? Is gay porn ok because there are no women involved?

Personally, I see his opinion and don’t fully disagree with it, but I don’t think my opinion is enough to ban it. If we’re going to start banning demeaning things, we should start with marriage and divorce. A researcher could find millions of cases to support that idea, while I imagine porn would be a mixed bag.

And I do not get how it can be considered a crime to ‘willful fail to report child pornography’. I can understand cases where an expert in a field is required to report potential dangers, but a computer tech is not an expert in child pornography. Is he supposed to report his boss because the boss uses the album cover of Nirvana’s Nevermind?
