Randi Harper one of the many feminists SJW types trying to destroy open source programming has quit FreeBSD. Perhaps it got too hard for her to operate in the environment after the fems got caught out by Eric Raymond for trying to set up false rape accusations as a means to control software development in the open source community.

It’s incredible that she was able to stick around this long after demanding a Code of Conduct and then throwing a fit when the Code of Conduct effectively declared that contributions worth would be decided by merit instead of by sex and race.

So good riddance to bad rubbish.

One of the products I push to my clients runs off FreeBSD though I work in proprietary land too.

There is zero tolerance in technical endeavors for PC. Either one can cut it or not. IT is a male dominated field for a reason though I have met a few women over the years who are competent. They are the exception. I don’t really care as long as one is truly capable of doing the job.

I find women severely lack in creative problem solving skills when faced with novel scenarios. This has been observed in both my scientific and IT careers. They are great for rote work though where following established procedures to the letter is of great value. I really suck at that type of work. Probably explains why they dominate HR.

Women and men are complementary is so many ways. The way feminists try to ram the square pegs into the round holes is one of my biggest bones to pick with them.

I have personal systems with FreeBSD in them. A pfSense firewall on a 15 year old Dell desktop and a FreeNAS on a soon to be 10 year old Dell. I also have configured raw FreeBSD into a usable workstation for my daily driver.

Seems Linux isn’t entirely immune to the stupidity. They’ve got social justice warrior idiots causing fights in the mailing lists, stupid fake superhero linux girl, false sexual harassment accusations, constant bickering and infighting over stupid stuff and radical corporations and individuals trying to reshape it in their own image. It’s why I walked away from it years ago.

I haven’t seen the same level of poisonous stupidity in FreeBSD yet and I hope it never comes. I don’t want to have to find a new business class OS.

I never understood why women get so butt hurt when they find out a field is male dominated. Just because tech is male dominated doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy the products. In college I majored in child development which is a very female dominate major, at most there would maybe be 3 guys in a class counting me and there were times I was the only guy in a class and yet it never bothered me. All the professors for that field were women, my adviser was a woman, the dean was a woman, there was not one man working in the child development department to my knowledge and I did not care. I work at a school and most of the teachers are women, in my department there is only 1 other man and he is leaving next month. Again it does not bother me at all. Yes I do like it when I see other men wanting to work with children, but I don’t want en shoe horned into it. Just like forcing women into tech will create crappy products forcing men into teaching will produce crappy future adults.
