These type of articles always make me laugh. I remember a piece about the disparity in pay in the fashion industry. The top female models made far more than top male models. Their argument was the female models generated a far larger income in sales. Fair enough. Hands up to that. Why is it when a similar scenario comes up where the females are paid less, the economics of generating income seems unimportant. They are so blinded by imaginary discrimination they think they are just simply entitled to money that isn’t there.

    http://time.com/money/4277843/us-womens-soccer-equal-pay/

“”Women on the national team make about 40% of what their male counterparts do, the complaint alleges.””

In my opinion this is grossly overpaid when in reality they likely struggled to generate 4% of income compared to the men. I don’t know a single person who followed the women world cup, whereas everyone I know follows the men’s world cup.
It also reminds me of the recent Wimbledon Tennis decision to pay female participants the same as the men, although the men have to slog out over 5 sets, while the women still only play 3. How is this equality? So they get paid the same for doing less. Sigh…sounds familiar.

Women are so bad, if they changed the law so I kept the house, I still wouldn't marry one. I'd rather be homeless.

It makes sense that they are paid according to how much revenue their teams bring in to the owners. If they want to change that, their best recourse would be to get popular with the ticket buying public. . . but no!

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

The women’s team excludes men. The supposedly “men’s” team isn’t, and does not exclude women. If these women soccer players want to be paid the same they should try out for the “men’s” team.

Instead they have created their own special league exclusive to women so they can pretend to be winners and champions, and now are demanding it be paid the same as the real thing. How is that not acting like greedy spoiled children?

If you look over a four year period, which you have to because the World Cups aren’t in the same years, the women bring in about 60% of the revenue that the men do. And that’s with a mediocre men’s team. So by that standard they are somewhat underpaid. But, they don’t deserve equal pay.

Also, the men have many more leagues to play in, so the pay has to be more competitive for the men. Otherwise they might not play for the national team.

And your take on Wimbledon is spot on. The women play 60% of the amount of tennis that the men do. That sounds about right for the pay.

Huh? I’m a football (soccer) fanatic. Women can’t play football.

Last week I heard my brother and his mate p~~~ing themselves, I walked into the room to see what was so funny. They were watching an international women’s game. Someone passed it back to the keeper, she tried to kick it and hit nothing but air. The ball trickled into the net. I was in tears when I saw the replay.

Soccer in the UK is a billion dollar industry and nobody wants to watch woman play it (unless you’ve been devoid of a laugh for time).

Do u have a source for this? With respect, you’d be laughed out of the country for that opinion.

    I do mean this respectfully.

Who cares? It’s not my money going to them. And it’s not like I would be allowed onto their team.

Let the oligarchs deal with it. They created this monster and now it’s their problem.

I am MGTOW. This is not in any way at my expense. These men in no way ever stuck up for me, and I do not care to stick up for them. Besides, the men won’t be losing money either, not like the money comes from the same pool or anything else.

The oligarchs won’t lose either, they’ll just print some more money out of thin air to give to these women. If anything, a clever MGTOW can just marry one of these women then divorce rape her.

    Joller:

It was from the US national team website. But remember, the US women’s team is very successful for women’s soccer and the men’s team isn’t. So, in the US the women’s team is a bigger deal than it is in other countries. Which was kind of my point in that the men have many other options that women don’t have. So, you have to pay the men more or they won’t play for their national team. Why risk an injury for next to nothing when you are paid several million a year in the Premier League.

They also compare how much the women get for winning the World Cup compared to the men in the US. But you could offer the men in the US a billion each for winning the World Cup and it wouldn’t matter, because the US men have a zero percent chance of winning the Cup.

There’s the greatest joke of them all – women would rather watch MEN play sport, because given a choice between watching less competent women and watching fit buff young men in their prime strut their skills, the laydeez prefer the latter. In my younger days when I was going to watch my rugby league team play every week, most of the people coming with me were women who basically wanted to ogle the men.

    Objectification, anyone?

Whatever makes them happy… if they wanna have a league of their own where they can jump and shout and tear each other’s hair… and probably get a trophy for it.. why not?

As long as its not my money on the line…and my peace of mind.

The problem is that they now go to the men’s game and have feminized the support…no standing, no swearing etc. As always they come into something men enjoy and do their best to change it

same with everything – men have a great time without them so they have to get involved and then don’t like what they are seeing. Too “laddish” is what they thought and now most football grounds are like theatres (with a few exceptions)

As long as they are willing to go on strike for a higher pay, then good on them. I’m only going to complain if they try and get the US gov to force it or something ridiculous like that. Go on strike, talk to the press, whatever kind of pressure you want to put on your employers.

I would guess that they can afford to pay them equal pay and still make a profit. What’s funny is that even though the article mentions the pay of the US women’s soccer league players, none are complaining about that. Why, because the league is probably in the red already due to crappy revenue. It will surely fold (again) if the players go on strike, probably fold regardless.

    Ok. Then do it.
