I would add that a majority of people cannot or will not use the correct definitions of the verbiage they use or hear. Which compounds the problems exponentially.
The way I read your statement is:
“targets profoundly ignorant people” as selects people of limited (if any) legitimate knowledge of the subject matter being presented for support of his agenda.

Not as:
Stupid people (not as in dumb people, regardless if they are or not.)
Ill educated people (not as in dumb people, regardless if they are or not).
Ignorant people (as in manners).
Which I believe is the correct intent of your statement. If not? Well you are of course entitled to, if not absolutely required to, correct my interpretation of your words in order to better educate me, thereby assisting/allowing me to overcome my OWN ignorance.

In all honesty I have to say that the type of ignorance that I’m seeing is a solid combination of a lack of knowledge/information and unbelievable simple-mindedness.

A huge example of this kind of ignorance we find with those who support the Liberal’s gun control agenda. . These people are absolutely clueless reference firearms and current firearm laws even though all the detailed information concerning gun laws can be easily found online. Yes, keep “weapons” out of the hands of criminals. Don’t keep trying to punish law abiding citizens for the misdeeds of a few nut jobs and criminals or to score a few political points with over reacting sheep.
The irony in a lot of this BS is that the criminal is punished less severely than a law abiding legal gun owner who was forced to use a weapon in response to criminal activity.

Both you and I know, via the LAWS that the following is true here.
Pistols- have been restricted for a very very long time, some are actually prohibited. If one does not have the appropriate permits they are ALL ILLEGAL, including bullets, magazines, and any other firearms paraphernalia, are illegal for an individual to possess.
Automatic weapons – Have ALWAYS been illegal for a private citizen to own/possess unless rendered inert and impossible to return to firing status, and you MUST possess a “collectors permit” to have that.
Grenades, Mines, military munitions, rocket launchers, tanks, apc’s, combat aircraft etc.also must be rendered inert and not combat functional to possess.

A rather telling caveat is that if one possesses a “restricted firearms” permit, one automatically consents to law enforcement (at ALL levels) to random and arbitrary search and inspections of those “restricted” firearms to ensure the safe and compliant storage of said weapons.
This gives unrestricted access to law enforcement to perform search and seizure of ALL your property without warrant. Any other “illegal activities/items” etc found on your property will not be “dismissed” from the courts as law enforcement found it to be ongoing and in YOUR possession, during a routine and completely legal, consented to, firearms compliance inspection.

Not one “gang banger” or criminal, or any other illegal firearms possessor is subject to this.
That is the real issue.

The Lefties are beyond being educated. They make absolutely no attempt to understand current laws. They are deliberately, willfully ignorant. Remember when Harper consolidated the ATT with the RPAL to eliminate redundant, senseless paperwork? No laws were changed and no restrictions were lifted yet Turdeau wanted the retards to think that gun owners would then be allowed to run down the streets waving their pistols in the air!

There is just no way of fixing that level of ignorance and stupidity…

Turdeau cannot afford to ‘get tough on crime’. He won’t do anything that might deter a criminal. He knows that criminals form a large portion of his core supporter base. Most definitely remember that.
I also remember that there are less than 250 concealed carry permits in ALL of Canada. Think of that, over 2 millions licensed firearms owner, about 176k have pistols and there are less that 500 (at the most) CC Permits in the entire country.
Every last shooting aside from law enforcement involved an unlicensed pistol and the holders did not have a PAL/RPAL.
