I just finished watching Up In The Air* starring George Clooney. Although seven years old, the movie is relevant today. The tug-of-war been Millennials and Gen-Xers. The shaming of men who are minimalist, unmarried by choice, and literally going their own way.

It’s also shows how when you’re younger there is a whole bunch of idealism in what relationships should be and the goal, and when you’re older how reality, maturity, and good ol’ life kicking your ass, help you find your own way, eventually.

What I like about the movie (quasi-spoiler alert) is that it ends like it starts, with the man going his own way, albeit with a few layovers.

*An idea from a young, new co-worker (Anna Kendrick) would put an end to the constant travel of corporate downsizer Ryan Bingham (George Clooney), so he takes her on a tour to demonstrate the importance of face-to-face meetings with those they must fire. While mentoring his colleague, he arranges hookups with another frequent-flier (Vera Farmiga), and his developing feelings for the woman prompt him to see others in a new light.

Ha! When he realizes she is about to turn on the water works and his comment is “Awww F~~~…” Priceless.

when you’re younger there is a whole bunch of idealism in what relationships should be and the goal,

That’s why a number of the planetary population will be growing up! lol And this is the reason why I don’t believe that 20-25 years old male can really came to the MGTOW ideas. It’s too early for him.
