It’s one reason I run NoScript (and AdBlock)on my browser. In the article, they state that the website can read information not directly connected to what it was doing through scripts, and NoScript was preventing this. But, all in all, I consider the computer disposable anyway. If worst comes to worst I can fry the HD.

Just some time ago I had a WD RE4 Server HDD that came down with reading errors and Win7-64 went on strike… But my old XP machine and Ccleaner recognized it and wiped the data…

“Glary utilities” can also wipe files to be deleted if you have to do it fast and don’t want to wipe many TB’s over night.

Best if you use a dual boot system for “auxiliary” purposes. And the HDD with the suspicious content on it in some kind of removable rack. (Like the IcyDock MB 122/123 things I use for data backup and system mirroring)

Put all suspicious data on a micro SD card and that tiny chip can easily be stashed so no police raid would ever find it.
