I went to a small roller coaster park today. I was able to ride the coaster and be back on it in <10 minutes. The place was a ghost town. I rode the 5 coasters 3 times each in less than ca. 4 hours. I know it was really hot, but the water park section and rides were empty too.

People don’t have the money for these everyday luxuries anymore.

I used to live next to Raging Waters in San Dimas and it was 30 bucks a pop back then in 1992. I can’t even imagine how much it is now especially if you have two adults and three or four kids you’re looking at a few bills. I remember when I was on the blue pill I had a woman that lived with me and her children lived here part of the time. I am guilty of going with them to the water park but she paid for her kids and herself. This was also in a better economic time and the place was completely packed. Just my two cents.

Always expect the unexpected and gird your loins appropriately. It's a no-fault jungle out there.

That and I think kids would rather play video games inside. Safer and cheaper so most parents are all for it too.

Well, I can only speak for myself. This has not been a good year for me. In the past, I used to take scenic drives and spend the night in motels. I can’t afford to do that this year. I’ve been using my car to drive to work and run errands, mostly. The most entertainment I get these days is: using the internet and seeing a matinee movie once a week. Spending $25 on some Thai food is a luxury I indulge in about every two months. When I pay off my credit cards, I’ll have more spending money. Last year, I went to the county fair and they charged $5 for ONE thrill ride, $6 for a hot dog, and $3 for bottled water. I’d rather not spend that much money even if I could afford to.

I love that place! I went there in the 1980s. In those days, amusement parks were affordable even though minimum wage was about $3.35 an hour. You could get a Disneyland ticket for $25 throughout most of the 80s. Knott’s Berry Farm was about $20. It wasn’t hard to save up that much money. Disneyland is probably $100 by now. Also: universities were really cheap compared to today’s prices (but we complained about the prices then).

Water down the dollar to feed ever pregnant and bloated government is a sure fire recipe for financial ruin.

With interest rates @ 0% to keep wall street and the economy on life support shows just how slow and sluggish this eco’no’money really is. I’m waiting for them to give cash rewards for borrowing printed money.

50+ years of liberal indoctrination coupled with the erosion of moral character has devastated this nation beyond repair and is why its become insolvent.

Keep your hands and feet inside the car and tuck your head between your knees because this economic roller coaster has run out of track…

100 years of the US p~~~ing resources away on the feminist agenda thanks to the passage & ratification of the 19th amendment [worst decision — EVER]. Can’t be all that surprising …
