Wolf-whistling at women is to be considered a hate crime by 43 police forces across the UK after a trial by Nottinghamshire police. Correct me if I’m wrong, but misogyny is defined as hatred towards women. Correct me if I’m wrong again, but wolf-whistling is anything but hatred, it’s an expression of desire and appreciation of beauty – anything BUT hate in my book.

Here is a quote from the article:

If agreed, abuse directed at women would be treated more seriously than comparable crimes against men, and could even lead to tougher sentences in the courts. Misogynistic incidents will include harassment in the street, verbal abuse, unwanted physical approaches, taking photographs without consent or sending unwanted text messages.

There is so much wrong in that quote I don’t even know where to begin. But to highlight one thing, it says unwanted physical approaches. How on earth is a man supposed to know whether his approach is wanted or not? Even the hottest men can’t be 100% sure. So here’s what will happen… men won’t bother approaching women anymore, and women may have to begin approaching men. So I’m not 100% against this particular clause as if it goes on long enough, and is publically enforced, it may just work in men’s favour… and by that time, we will tell them where to go!

Meanwhile, in Telford, Rotherham, Oxford, and most other towns and cities real hate crimes, such as Asian grooming gangs raping white teenage girls, are swept under the carpet.

Even though these laws are blatantly sexist towards men, they are going to be worse for women in the long run. Women gain a lot from men (money, favors, etc) but men do not gain anything from women. Ultimately this will make it harder for women to access male resources, and it will prevent men from offering their resources to women, which they shouldn’t be doing anyway.

I’ve noticed something interesting within the last year or two. I have seen a lot of women walking along highways and roads. They are walking in areas where it is pretty obvious they are either stranded or do not own a car to get where they are going.

These same women would have been offered rides by men in the past, but no longer. This is just in the US, where it is not yet illegal to ask them if they need a ride, and men are choosing not to anyway. Not hard to see what will happen once these laws are passed here too.
