UK Police ‘want to make misogyny a hate crime’

Police across the country are considering making misogyny a hate crime.

The plan was revealed after two men were arrested for sexist abuse during a pilot scheme in Nottinghamshire that may be broadened out across the country.

Threatening words and assault will be tackled in the pioneering crackdown on offensive behaviour towards women.

Nottinghamshire Police has launched more than 20 investigations in the two months since the pilot was announced.

But despite initial concerns from the public, no men have been reported for wolf-whistling at women.

Forces around the country, from Devon and Cornwall to Durham, are now sending officers to the county to discuss the experiment.

Dave Alton, Nottinghamshire Police’s hate crime manager, said: ‘The reality is that all of the reports so far have required some form of police action.’

The force is planning to release a film about street harassment to encourage more victims to come forward.

Experts predict a surge in reports when students arrive for the new academic year.

This is not the same! What s the exact law they want to create? Misogyny is a more general term, that is hard to define, but an event of “offensive behavior toward women” (like assault, abuse, insult or whatever) needs someone actually doing it, or someone falsely accused of doing it.

And, I don’t know, is it hate crime to refuse a woman in a calm non-aggressive way (in fact all women)? Then are gays and asexual people a misogynist group for that matter? Or someone, when he looks at porn but not on real women?

Actually for an MGTOW point of view, if we keep our mouth shut around women, and record everything necessary, we can be mostly safe.

I have a chest band and head band for my GoPro. Of course it’s too big for everyday use and creates HUGE files.

Actually the women you may know a little, have more chance to stab you in the back. Be sensitive for warning signals on women (at work place, shops, and at whatever else situation where you cannot avoid them). If she seems angry, stressed or bitchy or whatever that is not a calm state of mind, then start recording voice for example with your smartphone. Keep all communications like email, to that suspicious person. Not only on the company server, as it may disappear, or became non-accessible if your ass is fired. Keep call recording on the phone on.
