The ongoing Brexit farce is steadily pushing ordinary Brits further to the right in their determination for self-governance with the linked article stating:

According to a YouGov poll for the Sunday Times…Around 38 per cent would vote for a new party on the right that was committed to Brexit…Some 24 per cent would be prepared to support an explicitly far-right anti-immigrant, anti-Islam party.

To put those numbers in perspective the last general election prior to this one to see a greater than 38% vote share for the government was Tony Blair’s 2nd term in 2001 which with 40.7% of the vote took 62% of the seats in the house. If either Farrage resumes command of UKIP or another such party steps up to the plate they will be gathering support from both (anti-brexit) sides of the current house, at that point anything is possible.

More worrying is the second number, if it is to be believed almost a quarter of the electorate are potentially willing to vote the actual far-right into power in order to guarantee that their wishes regarding the EU as expressed in the referendum are executed. Lefties, SJWs and the like take note, back otherwise ordinary people into a corner and they will fight back, your efforts to smear everyone to the left of Lenin as “literally Hitler” may just be the catalyst that sees actual Nazis return to power for the first time in over 70 years.

Interesting times indeed.
