Long time Lurker, this is why I’m here

U.K. Guy met the ex in school back in 1982 – relationship lasted until 2016.

Blue pill and agreed to marry as MX Racer, afford a new bike you can afford to marry according to the ex c~~~, marriage accepted and 2 kids via 95 @ 98 what a f~~~ing mistake!

Fast track to 2012 and ex wants to separate, daughter fine but son beyond control, 14 years old and defacto man of the house, no control allowed by the ex-c~~~ so I end beyond despair.

All of this occurs during a failing business venture and recession so 10 years of f~~~ing stress, absolutely had it.

No sex or affection since 2012, c~~~ wants me to move out but wise heads say no, to leave means abandoning the family and grounds for divorce – as a consequence c~~~ cant get a mortgage so things remain s~~~ty. Strangely shared a bath together on occasions and I can only assume that this was because she wanted something to withdraw if I didn’t conform.

Separation came late last year followed by a milestone birthday for me in December, went to the Caribbean for Christmas and came home to divorce papers and a rifled house – clothes destroyed and building damaged.

Tons more to post this is simply an abridged version of events, have to say the support and comfort from guys on here is exemplary and I feel at home for the first time in a long time simply lurking.

You survived many years of being a prisoner in your own home. From the sounds of it, you are saying she moved out, which is great news. You can fix the place up and make it the way you want it, but do not do it until the divorce is finalized. Document everything, and keep copies. You will be glad that you did. Welcome to the jungle.

It may not be relevant but if she is filing for divorce (and has no reasonable grounds) she will have to wait a full two years of separation and even longer if you you do not agree. Which may give you some time to get your s~~~ together, especially as you have your own business, and as Uly says document everything. You will probably still have to give her money but this may mitigate it somewhat. This may be irrelevant as your separation was several months ago.

I’m not a solicitor and am calling on my fairly recent divorce experience for this. Seek professional legal advice asap if you haven’t done so already.

Thats f~~~ing ridiculous. If she left, how can they hassle you for adultery? She ended the relationship by leaving. I thought there was no fault divorce now anyway? Enough c~~~s get away with cheating and still keeping everything you worked for. She was probably cheating on you while you were together mate.

Should have tossed her out once the separation began, or moved out on your own. Staying in the same house with someone your separated from only adds to the toxic environment and gives potential ammunition to the other person. Either she buys you out, or you buy her out should have been the immediate conclusion upon the deterioration of your divorce. Either way, you’re out, and ultimately better for it.

That’s absolutely ridiculous. Rather than just end the relationship amicably it took an over the top excuse to end the marriage. That would be entirely unnecessary in most states here in the US. Maybe some of our British MGTOW brothers can clarify on this.
