The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday handed Donald Trump one of the biggest victories of his presidency, upholding his travel ban targeting several Muslim-majority countries.

The 5-4 ruling, with the court’s five conservatives in the majority, ends for now a fierce fight in the courts over whether the policy represented an unlawful Muslim ban. Trump can now claim vindication after lower courts had blocked his travel ban announced in September, as well as two prior versions, in legal challenges brought by the state of Hawaii and others.

Legalese can be difficult for a laymen.
Just like what I write for a living would look like so much gibberish unless you had training and experience.

However, in this case federal law is crystal f~~~ing clear. POTUS has the authority to ban ANY CLASS of people he f~~~ing wants.

Congress gave the POTUS that power in 1952.
This should have never gone to court in the first place.

That INA isn’t even that difficult to read or interpret. Courts have consistently upheld for the last 60 years that POTUS has that power.

I heard that Justice Clarence Thomas added the opinion that lower courts interfering with the POTUS’ duty to carry out the constitutionally defined laws should be a matter of concern. We have had a constant campaign to use the lower courts to stop what are legal actions of the POTUS.

Considering such travel bans have been utilized in the past by presidents, both Republican and Democrat, the 4 justices that tried to say these were unconstitutional should be removed from office for incompetency. I wonder if in their dissenting opinion they could even quote some law or passage from the constitution these bans were breaking.

I fear that Trump will set the bar so high that no one will be able to replace him. I like Pence, but at the end of the day he’s just another establishment politician. Unless somebody rises in 2024 to run against the establishment again it’s going to be a hell of a down hill plunge!

IF he gets the chance to name two more to the Supreme Court, and the next two should be liberals that go out……it might be enough to change course for years in the future……….unless that talk of civil war comes out into the streets then all bets are off.
