I am watching DVDs from the comedies of the 1950s thru the early ’60s. These shows are truly funny.

Jack Benny, George Burns, Lucy and Desi, Phil Silvers, Milton Berle, Sid Caesar, they all did it first and they did it better than anything I can find on TV these days. (Yes, Amy Schumer, you’re included: Compared to Lucy, you are indeed thin gruel.)

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

When I was growing up in Lithuania – we had a local city cable provider who was showing pirated movies all day long; MTV was showing music videos, and there was german porn late night. Those were the days when I thought TV was the s~~~.
Nowadays it’s worthless crap on hundreds of channels, but there isn’t anything worth watching. That’s why I got rid of TV 14 years ago and never looked back

I recently watched something from the 60’s I think, Jerry Lewis show or something, or Merv Griffin show with Lewis??? Richard Pryor was the guest, it was awesome, in black and white. And if I get stoned enough Benny Hill stuff is awesome, as it reminds me fondly of my childhood. The Benny Hill show was likely one of the last true “Man” shows ever. I think he ran until the early 90’s, so not much other than Married with Children can compete. Maybe The Man Show with Rogan and Stanhope would be the last “real” man show I guess. They did honor the Benny Hill show often on the Man Show.

Everything made past the Telecommunication Act of 96 is likely to be s~~~ compared to anything that came before it.

I rarely watch anything new. I have a massive collection of old stuff, all hard copies.

Ok, looked up the show, it was the Merv Griffin show from 66. Could’nt find a full episode of it on Youtube, but there are parts of it…Pryor and Lewis were awesome.

MGTOW: because you can (and should) say anything about a woman as long as she isn't within earshot

I do have a few shows I watch on Youtube. They are man shows for sure. AVGN content along with BlameSociety, the guys who do Beer and Board games, the earlier stuff is better in my opinion. Chad Vader was funny back in the day for a bit too…

TV in past decades was more about entertainment.

Now it is more of a tool to brainwash masses and push some leftist/feminist/etc-ist propaganda.

    TV Used To Be Fun!

Here’s a great example of that:

Notice how this is called “HOLLYWOOD SQUARES..DID THIS AIR?” like it’s *unbelievable* that it was fit for daytime broadcast. And this is asked by someone in an era where women go on TV and laugh about castrating a husband.

( Before you watch the clip.. just think about that for a second. )

People / TV just don’t laugh and have fun like this anymore.

I had tears from laughing when watching this:

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

One of my old favourites was All In The Family

with Carroll O’Connor who poked fun at issues

like liberalism and race relations but in a way

    that made you think.

Now even older comedians will say that in our haste

to become pc TV has actually turned a lot meaner.

Lifes a bitch, but you don't have to marry one!

I more or less stopped watching TV about 17 years ago, when i was around 15yo because i felt it was more and more crap being shown that i wasn´t interested in. Oh, and the f~~~ing annoying commercials. F~~~ that s~~~.

And gradually, by “only” interacting with the real world and women i was well on my way on becoming a MGTOW.

Only NOW do i finally connect the dots.

I cut myself off of the mangina brainwashing, haha.

Nowadays, when i find myself tuning in a couple times a year it drives me absolutely crazy. I can´t watch a single show about cars, guns, survival, and a myriad of other topics without getting angry. Because most of it is completely inacurate and badly presented HORSES~~~ and i know ten times more then all of their experts combined…. They get paid for being complete imbeciles too dumb to do a proper job. They´re only a f~~~ing google search away from getting their s~~~ straight and they can´t even be bothered with doing THAT, instead of, making things up?!

    Drives me mad.

give us liberty, or give us death!

I agree that TV pre-2000 was better. I was born in 1982 and I still watch B/W shows like:

I Love Lucy, Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour
    Lucy Show (Color)
    Three Stooges
    Honeymooners

Another other 80s and 90s TV like:
    Married… With Children
    Home Improvement
    Diff’rent Strokes
    Nickelodeon pre-millennium
    The Bozo Show

Then there are some modern shows I do like:
    Bates Motel
    Pawn Stars
    Duck Dynasty
    Naked And Afraid

The trouble I see with TV these days is too many reality shows, leftist shows, PC shows, and feminists crap. Yes the commercials are just plain stupid now. I, believe it or not, downloaded off YouTube classic 80s commercials I remember, including old McDonald’s McDLT music commercials.

You know what, I miss Saturday morning cartoons. I used to watch Ninja Turtles, Scooby Doo, Ghostbusters, Captain Planet back in the day on Saturday mornings right before my Saturday morning bowling league. Those were the days and I miss them a lot.

Life overall was better in those days; people were succeeding, people were happier, TV/music/movie/video games were more fun, there was less hate (I blame internet for the hate), it was easier to get a job and achieve things.
