One has to admire President Trump. The man is a master at trolling his opponents.

I understand what is he is doing. He attempting to triangulate on gun issues to take the wind out of the sails of the democrats so we will not be solely hearing about gun control until the election in November.

While President Trump has said a few questionable things on guns, this week has been an overall win for President Trump. Between the respect the Trump Administration has given the late Billy Graham and Billy Graham’s followers, along with President Trump’s tariff plans, President Trump’s political base is solid.

I can see a few possibilities.
A)He is in fact cucking to the left and gun control for any myriad of reasons. (Jared and Ivanka, His past positions, whatever)
B)It is possible he wants Democrats to overplay their hand by tacking an assault weapons ban and mag limits to a more popular piece like fix nics, knowing that any bill with these will fail and he can blame democrats for the failure (something to the tune of them not being serious about fixing the issue and just wanting partisan bans)
We will have to wait and see

Trump has done a heck of a lot,…….but if he goes down this road of gun control he will not get re elected. Stands a good chance of not having people show up in the mid terms.

Why do people bother to take what Trump says at face value? What you are supposed to do, is take it to mean something else, trust it is part of some sort of grand strategy to make America great, and then realize that he will make it whatever he damn well wants, so long as it matters. There is never any errors with Trump. He never makes a mistaken. It is all part of his 14 dimension chess to outsmart everyone.

Look at the context. If you think the context looks bad, then come up with a different context that makes it look better and read it that way. All this is to troll his opponents, or something, or get them to give a bit, and then take back and keep moving the goalposts. Trust there is some master strategy, because Trump said he is a stable genius with a really good brain. Just trust him on this one.

The art of the deal requires compromise. And it isn’t gun control, it is making America safe policy to make America great. Just like Wall Street misunderstanding him wanting to impose tariffs. They aren’t tariffs, they are Make America Great Again salvos fired in a war, that merely hurts one own’s opponents. Just trust Trump. The answer to what Trump is doing and who he is is much simpler than any of that as plausable as some of your theories are.

Trump is a system man who told the “right” what they wanted to hear to get elected.

Hillary is a system woman who told the “left” what they wanted to hear.

Trump will say he is different a man of the people and blah,blah,blah and of course understandably many will want to believe in him.

This is all any politician ever does in an country.

Meanwhile it is business as usual behind the curtain.

Drain the swamp-appoints half of Goldman Sachs.
Promises to prosecute Hillary – makes a speech after being elected about how great she is and how much she has done for America.
Says he will take the guns before due process (I understand Fasut’s argument and it is plausable but I don’t think so).

Of course the homeless problem continues whilst there is always money for more weapons and more wars.

I’m afraid bredrin, Trump is a fraud -they all are and always will be.

If you look into the project for a new american century you will realise that despite whatever they say and whether they are democrat or republican each President just continues the plan.
