I think the NRA has a point here. This is how I have felt for a long time now. I know some of you will disagree, but please keep it respectful on this thread.
I pray for the health of our President daily. I cannot imagine living under a Hillary Clinton Presidency.
May God bless President Donald J. Trump.

Anonymous12It’s true. The Left are scum who do not want or respect Democracy. If Obama or Hilary did anything Trump did they would be praising them and heaping awards on them.
It’s counter productive for them though as it highlights how nasty and bigoted they are.

Anonymous1I agree. I have never seen such an attack on a presidential candidate. The Main Stream Media didn’t even pretend to be unbiased, they went for Trump shortly after he announced he was running.
That was initially what drew my attention to The Donald. All of the Establishment was going berserk when he won the presidency. I was totally shocked at what happened after that. The Berkely protests and the rise of Antifa.
These are some interesting times we are living in, thats for sure!
He would be better served if he would restrict his use of twitter. He seems to tweet before he engages his brain. The liberal media will never cover him fairly and he knows he but he throws them red meat every day.
TTW
I ain't got a wife to spend my money, I have to do that all by myself.
He would be better served if he would restrict his use of twitter.
I agree with this. He tried to do it right after he got elected but he just couldn’t maintain it. I think he would be better served as a member of these forums. He can vent here all day long.

Indeed!
The thing is President Trump is not backing down. The latest is he will release the JFK files. Sure, the files will be blacked out. But, that not the point. The point are the optics of President Trump pushing back against the deep state.

Anonymous6I think he should use Twitter to troll smarter. Push his agenda, tout the impressive stock market, stuff like that. He has to fight back, because that’s part of his appeal. Now he doesnt have to fight every fight, but he has to go on the offensive on some of them. If he doesn’t the MSM will go even harder.
But doesn’t that tell you something, that Trump has all of these entities against him, and despite all odds, he keeps winning. There’s something to that. He wins in the end. Don’t worry. Just keep praying for him and the entire administration. I do it all the time, and i believe he’s gonna be alright.

What the idiot liberals seem to forget the next democrap who wins the office is going to get the same treatment.

Not from me they won’t. I respect the office of the President whereas many people have no respect. You can disagree with the President’s politics but to abuse the President the way many people have been doing is disrespectful to our Constitution, our country and ourselves.

A big f~~~ing kudos. ALL Americans should respect office.
If you rescue a damsel in distress, all you will get is a distressed damsel.
The next democrat in office will receive nothing but accolades from the press as all democrats have done in the past.
The public will be split on their opinion of him/her,
but it will always be made to appear like the country has been saved by the left.
The people who base their opinions on what they see on the tv will always do so.

Americans should NOT respect the ‘office’ if the ‘office’ has taken on expansive, unconstitutional use of Executive Orders and Powers, as have Trump, Obama, and their predecessors.
The worship of the office, with no one questioning its power, and the significant expansion of that power, in even the last few decades, is just one more aspect of Statism.
Remember, the out-of-power party never questions presidential powers; they’re just envious their man or woman doesn’t have them! Government in America now comprises about 40% of GDP. So no, I don’t ‘respect’ the office. I’ll respect it, once we have a Congress and President that curbs its powers — reducing and eliminating federal agencies.
The idea that the Left or the Right is seeking to ‘destroy’ America is a false dichotomy. Government has grown under BOTH parties, and with it, loss of economic freedom. The State has risen, and individual liberty, especially economic (not so much civil), has declined. If, at the end of this Congress and Presidency, the budget is balanced and government comprises a significantly smaller fraction of GDP, I’ll eat my words. Such has NOT been the case with EITHER GOP or Dems in power in past.
If you want to see who the traitors are who want to destroy the nation, merely look who votes to raise the debt ceiling and who wants to eliminate the debt ceiling votes altogether. Traitors identified. Patriots, in contrast, would never vote to raise the ceiling without concessions of spending cuts.
Total government ’employment’ (State, local, and Federal payroll) in 1900 was about 1 million citizens. Today, it is 24 million (approximate figures). It went up under the Carter Regime. It went up under President Ray Gun. It went up under King Georgie Bush Whacker I. It went up under Bubba [Billy Boy Clinton]. It went up under Imperial President ‘Junior’, The Shrub. It flattened out under the Obamination, but only because State and local governments, generally cannot run at deficits by law (YET!), and they ran out of money to steal for new crony jobs after the Great Recession. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/USGOVT is a good plot.
The best way to push back against the Deep State is to appoint individuals to DISMANTLE it. That means, a much smaller CIA. A much smaller FBI. A much smaller State Department. Remember Colin Powell’s lies about WMD’s? We will not see agencies dismantled or their budgets reduced.

I agree with you. Unfortunately, that rarely happens until there is a complete collapse.

Yes, it’s actually a simple numbers game of inertia. Let’s say we have 24 million federal, State, and local employees in 2017 — we can argue if it’s 22 or 24 million, but these estimates are all clustered pretty close together in this range. Population has increased about 5-fold since 1900; but government employment has increased about 24-fold since 1900, DESPITE efficiencies one would expect with computerization and telecommunications — i.e. if government efficiency had improved we’d have a lower ratio of public:private sector workers.
So that’s about 16.5% of the ENTIRE US workforce! About one in six! In some States, figures are above 20%. These individuals, are highly motivated to vote for bigger government. And this figure, does not even count all the other jobs dependent on government: the ‘industrial’ segment of the military industrial complex, lobbyists, etc. It also doesn’t include all the *dependents* relying upon those government paychecks, who will also reliably vote for bigger government (spouses, children, etc). I certainly believe we should have a viable defense and nuclear arsenal, but not the corrupt military-industrial complex Eisenhower warned of. Of course, we now also have a corrupt corporate-government complex as well: crony capitalism instead of free markets.
Like a colleague of mine at work said last week, what’s the difference between the good old boy right winger in the rural county who takes money for NOT growing crops on his farm, and the left wing welfare queen in the inner city? They will BOTH vote for continued government subsidies and ever larger government. In one case, we pay more for food as a result of government agricultural policies, in the other, we lock up 1/2% of our population in prisons because they had s~~~ty parents and went to s~~~ty inner city public schools. I would add another category too: the ‘corporate’ welfare recipient, big companies that get special breaks and crowd out start-ups and smaller companies who DON’T have the political clout to get UNequal treatment under tax and regulatory laws.
Like I told my colleague, if you want to tax rape me for property taxes, don’t give me a vote for which jack*ss is on the school board, just let me decide WHICH school I want to send the stolen loot to: vocational, public, or private/charter. I called it ‘My DOLLARS, my CHOICE!’. And then THAT school gets my tax revenues, the other is STARVED OF IT. He laughed his a** off because he knew I’d never have such a choice, nor would he, at the ballot.
The media distracts us with bulls*it about how ‘America is divided’. America is NOT divided politically, the vast majority of Americans LOVE big government and WANT more of it. Remember, they may differ over WHO they want subsidies to go to, not WHETHER they want free markets, or a big Government, highly regulated command-and-control economy.
Trump likes it this way. If he is facing a lull in attacks, he goes ahead and starts some with someone, punching down endlessly, and going on like this. Unless someone is totally favorable to what he wants, and his view of the world, he is very likely to attack them. He attacks everyone, including those in his own administration.
This isn’t always an “Eye for an eye” either, which is the usual argument with Trump. The defense will be that “someone else started it” in regards to Trump. A number of times, this is the case, but with the likes of the London Mayor, Trump is the one who started it. Trump goes off and is critical of how the mayor handled a terrorist attack. He also did this by calling Mexicans rapists when he launched his political campaign (he backed off). Calling Mexicans this caused John McCain to back away from Trump, which then resulted in Trump starting a feud with McCain.
Eye for an Eye by Trump (11:56 in, in Trump’s own words):
