The problem I see with this assessment is two fold. First, he hasn’t really won anything yet. He is starting to set a new tone for government, for calling it like it is without a PC filter, but that war is far from over. ‘The left’ isn’t going to give up on that so easily. Trump certainly has encouraged others to step up and speak out whether PC or not, but PC still rules the conversation. It will take a lot more time and battles before this is truly won.

The other is that he has not identified the enemy, and I doubt he ever will. Just as Obama failed because he was unable to even say the words ‘radical Islamic feminist’, Trump can’t bring equality and justice to men if he can’t identify the enemy. It isn’t the media, and it’s not just radical feminism, but common feminism. He is far from putting out and naming the evils of ‘Common Feminism’, and I doubt he ever will. I don’t know that he understands the evils of common feminism, and it would absolutely be political suicide to call it out as such…at least not until he has gained a lot more trust and support.

Ok. Then do it.

I still see it as a huge win – just to stop the direction the “progressives” had been driving to for so long.

Yes – the real challenge looms ahead, but the election was huge – I liken it to Doolittle’s Raid – it had little practical impact, but huge from a morale standpoint.

When I was in 3rd grade, all the boys would play football during recess. There was one kid in particular who always played quarterback as he was way better then anyone else. One day, I complained a lot and the other boys decided to let me play quarterback. On the first play, I through a pick 6. I never got to play quarterback again….not for a long, long time.

The point is, it’s great that we have the opportunity to change things. The scary thing is, if Trump doesn’t succeed, I doubt we’ll see another President like Trump for a long, long time.

But absolutely, it’s a huge win. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
