I was asked not long ago by a group of people why I didn’t have and why I didn’t like social media. It was two couples that I had known for quite some time that asked. We are all in the same age group so they all knew exactly what I was talking about when I said the following- “Social media is the new bathroom wall of the 80s. Actually I think social media is far worse than anything I read on the bathroom wall in the 80s. More people see the graffiti on social media. More people write graffiti on social media. You have more time to write graffiti on social media. You have more room to write graffiti on social media. Last but not least people are stupid enough to believe what they read on social media. Whereas back in the 80s most people knew better than to believe what they read on the bathroom wall. Not true about social media. People are so dumbed down in today’s society they will believe anything”.

All I got was four people staring at me after I got done talking. They had nothing to say. Being right sometimes has a price. These people won’t be talking to me for a while. What I loved about it was none of them could think of anything to say. I left with my kids to go to a hockey game. My kids asked me what I said to those people and why were they staring at me as we left. I told my kids that they would not understand. They never brought it up again. What surprised me about both those couples was the two women didn’t try to defend social media. Maybe I got though to them. OK, I’m dreaming.

Some how some way, I SURVIVE DAILY without that cesspool called “social media”.

As I posted in another thread the other day, there would be a lot less drama, between those people who cause drama on the internet, if those people were sitting together in a room actually talking to one another.

People look at me so weird when I tell them I don’t have a cell phone or internet, like they wouldn’t be able to survive without those things. I wouldn’t be on here now if it wasn’t for my work computer. At home, with no cell phone, no computer, no internet, I can relax and be at peace. I don’t even want to talk to you guys when I’m home. LOL

Social media has worked hard to ban anyone whom are well spoken and well thought out because such people do not tow the globalist party-line. Anything left outside of such intelligent comments is not worth talking about.

This is a symptom of a much larger problem. Third wave feminists have taken over the human resources and “advertising and marketing” departments of companies because those running the companies thought these were the areas that women could do the least damage. Now, feminists are gatekeepers to jobs within the company, control the the voice of the company, and decide whom to market to for the company.

Due to this the feminists censor any men within the company while feminists are shunning and insulting men in their advertising and marketing while trying to get other feminists to buy their products.

To make matters worse feminists were taught the message was all that matters. So, the feminists would rather push their anti-male message than make profits for the companies they work for. This has lead to many companies going broke. This is where the term “get woke, go broke” comes from.

F~~~ social media. Fakebook leads the pack of vile garbage emblematic of its self absorbed users. “Look at me…look at me”. Same with snapchat, twitter… all of them. I grew up reading books and interacting with those I chose to…face to face. This current crop of kids is screwed. Their heads constantly staring at their freaking phones. All started with Crapple and their I phone and degenerated from there. I go to my local library and save for a few teenagers reading books who are mostly Asian….and homeless people seeking shelter….all the others have their brains in the palm of their hands. Sad.

All social media did was create a vast new platform for broadcasting and receiving insecurity. I refuse to be a part of this collective insecurity. In fact, I predict that anxiety will be classified as an addiction among social media users. Hell, that may have already been done.

What’s worse is, it isn’t just young people. I’ve walked away from several adults who stopped in the middle of a conversation to check the text they just received when they heard the notification sound. They sometimes yell at me to return which I never do anymore, because the times that I did, they still couldn’t speak because they were staring into that stupid little screen.

I had a prick walk into my office and sit down and stare into his phone and then he got up and left without saying a word. Why did the dumb f~~~ even come in my office?

I’ve seen a couple sit down at a table in a restaurant and not speak a word to each other the entire time they were there. Other than ordering their food, no words were spoken as they were both staring into their phones the whole time.

…………and people used to think television was such an idiot box. I believe the handheld electronic communication device has far surpassed the TV in that regard.

As I have written about here, I find it very disheartening to see accepting the premise of social media- which is to drain us of our attention. Not only we waste time but we buy into a fabrication of reality that is by-design serves a purpose of breeding insecurity and poor self-worth.

We end up buying iphones, cars, gadgets etc to prove our worth.

The rabbit hole is deeper than a hood-n~~~~ like me (not one really but sounds poetic) can ever fully grasp.

TV is tame compared to the damage these devices have caused. And considering the absolute garbage that passes for TV today, that’s quite a dubious distinction.

I’m glad I don’t rely on technology. I have a cell but no contract. I buy the minutes every 90 days. I use it about once a week. I like my freedom too much to stare at a screen. If I lose it I’m out 20 bucks. It will be a cold day in hell before I join the zombies.

True – I have come across several cases in which fake accounts were used to try and frame someone.
